Acetone. Be very careful though. ^^ This. If you use a dab on a cotton ball or paper towel, you should be fine. A q-tip can even help to get into the sculpt creases. An excessive use may leave a strong odor or even ruin the plastic, but even I doubt you would drench the thing...

No problem. This is probably the only skill I'm decent at. Can't paint to save my life...
Another fair warning: If dealing with tattoo sleeves like Orton or Punk, it is better to swap the arm out completely as the tattoos smudge A LOT. I did this with Orton's arms, and it left a smudged black shading on the skin and the plastic feels a bit worn on the surface (probably used too much back then)
So again, just be careful!

Is the clear fingernail polish supposed to prevent smudging or something when using the remover? I usually just use remover by itself. (obviously contains acetone) Could you please explain?

So it does help prevent the smudging? That's the only step I never did and the only problem I ever had, so I guess so, huh?
