I like a blend of store hunting and purchasing online. I don't pay over retail, so if it may be a hard figure to get I start checking online and the stores often. I also use the boards to find out if and when a particular series is hitting shelves. The feeling of finding something you are hunting at the store never gets old though. Love it.

Walmart and Kmart have been absolutely useless when it comes to finding figures I think this year and probably for 2 years I would say.

My nearest walmart is 16 miles away. Closest target is 40. Toys r us about 35. I burn way too much gas and time hunting. So, I drop $100 a year on an Amazon Prime membership and get the figures I want with free 2 day shipping. In fact, my Tyler Breeze should be here on Monday. I haven't missed any figures from E31 til now that I've wanted.

For years Canada was in a serious drought. TRU was the only place to find Elites, and when they did get some, it was almost ALWAYS a few lines behind what was being found in America. Fortunately, I live near the border and was able to survive the extended drought. It was during this time I started ordering off Amazon. The Canadian dollar was on par or better than the U.S. dollar as well, which helped. This year Walmart started carrying Elites again (around series 32 I believe), and though the start was shaky, my word has it gotten good. Found every one of the re-launched DM's at retail (last week even landed Sting) and have had my pick of full cases of Elite 34-37 over the summer. Been able to snap up every one I've been after easily. I know this hasn't been everyone's experience up here, but it's been unreal hunting in Canada in 2015...starting back at the beginning of the year with that BAF Bearer craziness. I found E37 Cena at Wal-Mart in Nova Scotia, and the back of the box doesn't include Lesnar. The added frustration of who gets to Canada also drives me nuts.

Try living in Seattle where there are no TRU's in the city, I have to drive to other towns to go there. It's like an hour round trip just to hit one if I'm lucky and there's no traffic. It's even worse now that I work nights. There's like a 2 hour window when they're open and I'm awake and I don't want to drive all the way there with my limited time especially when there's a 90% chance they won't have anything good. Walmart is also equally far away. The're one Target right by my house that was great for awhile, but now they're stuck with a ton of E32-E34 and HOF 2 and a bunch of whatever basic series that first Rusev is from. Slammed full of a collection of older battlepacks that won't sell.

If I want to go to a TRU its a 5 hour drive...

I don't even go to TRU or Walmart at this point. Target was on a hot streak for a while and completely fell off. Everyone I stop in just has Cody Rbodes and JYD.
I mostly stick with Amazon Prime and RSC.

You guys give "scalpers" too much credit for the good stuff being gone. I don't peruse stores as often these days, so when I find new releases, inevitably most of the choice figures are already gone. Yet if I do a completed search on the Bay, there's only one person within 25 miles of me who's sold any WWE stuff in the last 2+ months, and that's only six or seven figures. And he's made the fatal mistake of using the auction format, so it looks like he's at best breaking even.
I know the Bay isn't the only way to re-sell, but it's the most common and quickest. Point is, comparing how quickly the best figures from new waves are gone with online searches related to those items shows that collectors are the ones buying most of the figures.
