scottydub: Double J looks great, did you have to paint the head, to match the torso? Nope, just some cutting and drilling to make it fit.

This is amazing. What torso was used? Thank you! I used the DM Surfer Sting torso and arms, sliced the forearm to shorten them down and just re drilled the hole to retain articulation.

Quick question. What is the best way to remove logos/decals from tights/trunks without staining the figure? I've seen some great work on here with turning Macho king elite trunks into the Neon Green Sting.

Quick question. What is the best way to remove logos/decals from tights/trunks without staining the figure? I've seen some great work on here with turning Macho king elite trunks into the Neon Green Sting. I use Goof Off for removing paint on the softer plastic areas, like legs, arms, and head. But it leaves a residue on harder plastic areas. So for the harder plastic, like torsos and the butt/crotch, I use clear nail polish, then on occasion will use acetone nail polish remover to clean up if the clear nail polish doesn't get everything. But be very careful with the acetone, as it will mess up a figure really quick by eating away the plastic. With the Goof Off, just dip a qtip in some and brush it against the paint. I usually swirl it around to break up the paint up. The more solid the paint, the more qtips you'll have to use. I usually try to break up a big area of the paint where it just looks like a bunch of swirls and smeared paint, then use another goof off qtip to clean it up. For the clear nail polish, just brush it over the paint and then wipe it off with a paper towel. For the acetone, be very careful. I use the qtip method with it too, but don't swirl it around, just wipe away with it. Don't use too much. I use this as a last resort.

I got tired of looking at that horrible B62 Sting, and with no surfer Stings in the near future, I took matters into my own hands. I wanted it match the other Sting I had on display, so I stayed with the DM/Batista torso. The only parts I changed were the legs. I used JYD's legs. The white base made for better painting and added some much needed mass to Sting's legs. The calves hang over the boots a little, but I can file them down later if I want.

I'm surprised you got so many likes because you used a Jakks head His are fitted perfectly, maybe even shrunk in some cases. There's no biased towards the use of Jakks heads here.
