What’s the best formula for a Mattel Tom Phillips? I’m trying to make a commentary team of him and Graves for my figure fed I don't have a pic, but I used a Mattel Michael Cole body and a Jakks Randy Orton head.

The Basic Drew McIntyre head from the Elimination Chamber 2010 Series could work, just remove the ponytail, paint the hair dark Brown and add some more facial hair.

Don't normally get the modern characters. But I dig Drew McIntyre. So the figure was a bit of a disappointment when it comes to the wide head/face problem going on with the original. I also felt liek the head sat down way too low, giving him this super squatty, no-neck look. And the movement was also seriously limited to basically just swiveling side to side. So I shaved down the neck portion that is part of the head sculpt. Basically shaved down the area below his ear, and behind his beard. I stuffed the head socket with some plastic material to elevate the height of the head when I put it back on the neck post. And I gave the head a good heating, and squeezed the cheeks of his face tighter together, and cooled down the plastic. And this is what I ended up with. I'm much happier with the result. And now the head also moves as it always should have. Full range of movment, swivels, tilts, pivots, looks up and down.

I apologize if this is not the place to post this, but I made a couple fix-ups that I'd like to share, but seem to be illiterate in doing so. Even found a "how-to" post with instructions, and still manage to post broken links. Can anyone please point me on the right direction?

Can you post a pic of the side of the head where you cut the excess off?

Nice idea, the head looks much better, but the placing of the head seems a bit off, it looks to be sitting too high now, he has sort of a giraffe neck, and it also makes the hair seem odd, the figure is already freakishly tall and this would make it even taller, but as I said before, the head fixes looks great.

Hey thanks for the cool words guys. A few people asked to see the neck where I shaved some material off. Pic on the left is what it looks like after I shaved the neck down. The pic on the right, shows the area in yellow where I removed plastic material. I used an xacto knife, slowly with patience. I shaved off tiny bits at a time, so that I didn't gouge too deeply. It's such a small area, and such a tiny amount of plastic to remove, that I didn't want to use a dremel tool. I'm sure with the right bit, and a steady hand, one could pull it off. But I used an exacto knife. The pointy tip also helped a lot around the ears. Don't go too deep, there's very little material here. That area is very thin to begin with.

I'm trying to use imgur, but I still seem to be incapable of getting these posted. I think my issue is the file format because that is not at the end of my links. Thanks for your help though.

Try using tiny pic they will give you the links to use for forum message boards. All you have to do is copy and paste it inside of the [ i m g] [ /i m g] boxes minus the spaces
