As far as the nWo I know nothing could ever live up to the original nothing ever could nothing ever would be able to but if there was an nWo stable for today's generation who would be in it?

Cena would be the obvious Hogan corollary from the modern era. But the whole gimmick with Hall & Nash is that they were "outsiders" who didn't work for WCW so I'm not sure their current-day counterparts even exist. Maybe Bobby Roode and AJ Styles?

To have the NWO work in the WWE you would need to have 2 outsiders (example Bobby Roode and Austin Aries) come in and try to take over the Raw shows by interfering and such. Since they aren't big men like Nash and Hall, bring in AJ Styles and Adam Cole to help assist on the onslaught. Then you find out it was John Cena who was behind it. That's the only way it would work.
However, that won't work entirely well either because it's not like every fan knows Bobby Roode, Austin Aries, AJ Styles and Adam Cole. With Nash and Hall, people knew they were Diesel and Razor Ramon. So an interesting idea in theory, it just wouldn't pan out at all based on Vince's ego and lack of those four men having strong TV time to get noticed anywhere else.

I would love a new era version of the Four Horsemen. The New World Order, D-Generation X, Evolution, and the Main Event Mafia!!
My nWo lineup would be:
Daniel Bryan
Randy Orton
And the third man...John Cena!!
Then, in the following weeks, I'd add Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar, maybe Sheamus.
Looking at it, they could be my Four Horsemen and Main Event Mafia lineup as well.

Its been done. They were called the Nexus.
WWE had the ability to do this again with Balor, Owens, and Zayne. But, they showcased them in NXT. No complaint here, but, imagine their signings never went public? Here we are, final segment on Raw. Its Seth Rollins, bragging about neing the man behind the authority. With HHH, Kane, and J&J in the ring. Cutting a promi how he sold in.... Owens jumps the barricade. To the average fan, it looks like aome crazed fan has jumped in for his 15 seconds of fame. The camera oans away, and commentary begins to let out a Warning to all fans to stay away from the action for their safety.... Camera pans back to see Owens being taken away by security, and Itami, Balor, and Zayne run in and attack security.
The crowd is on edge. It looks as though fans have started a mini riot. The group then makes their way to ringside. Where they jump JBL, Cole, and King. Then the time keeper. HHH yells for Security. Then, Rollins hits HHH with the pedigree, and the rest of the group hit the ring attacking the authority. Rollins grabs the mic " I finally sold out.... I sold out joining the WWE.. I sold out by joining the Authority.... I sold out by leaving Ring Of Honor.... But. Now we are here. The Sons of Honor. AND WE ARE TAKING OVER!!!"
