Awesome finds. I really love the new packaging, can't wait to see if they also update the Elite packaging. Dear god PLEASE. The new packaging for elites looks boring. I liked the older Elite 12-24 Packaging a lot more. Same goes with the 1-11 Elites. I agree, I don't like the current Elite packaging at all. |

Mattel like to change the color scheme when they cut on waste. I'm all for smaller packaging, but this is another example of Mattel's cost cutting tactics. Before all you marks say "materials cost money" or "it's just the carding", when will these cost cutting tactics trickle down to your patrons? WHEN?

Was just thinking earlier today how I wanted an Arm sling and missed out on the Cara/Punk ones. Then bam. The definite buy of the Ascension BP comes with one. Perfect

Not a fan AT ALL. These look super messy and crowded, especially the Uso set...I can barely see the figures in there!
To be honest, I liked the packaging from the elite 12 era, which was mainly white. Always thought that was pretty slick and made the figure stand out.
Hope the new elites, presumably starting with 39 or 40, will have a better design.
Of course I don't really collect MOC besides a small handful of favorite figs...so I shouldn't care too much.

Looks pretty cool. Like that its smaller. But when it comes down to it, its still going to end up in the trash Hell, they could sell them on a solid piece of brown cardboard and it wouldn't make a difference to me.

I dig it. Odd to see show branding now when Smackdown is utterly irrelevant. I imagine they're doing this because USA is getting Smackdown soon, and the thing going around is that they're waiting until then to start putting focus on the show again. Possibly a mandate by WWE? Who knows. Anyway, packaging is a little busy for sure, but it's eye-catching and vibrant.
Can't wait to see the new Elite packaging for next year - the current one is so bland. And the backs are so inconsistent and feel like wasted space. 2011 was my runaway favorite for Elite figures.

One thing I will say is that I sincerely hope that they go back to adding bios on the back. The slim pickings on there now are awfully boring!
