Mattel WWE Elite Series 39 New PROTO IMAGES!

So Sycho Sid and Dolph Ziggler have the same arms and torso.





This isn't good

Imagine E37 Miz with brown hair and a beard and you pretty much got the sixth of this set...

Let me get a little more analytical now that i'm a little less disturbed by Sid's facial likeness looking like Zack Ryder.

Sting is clearly a Survivor Series debut figure, the molded T-shirt is fine imo, we'll get a WM31 figure in wrestling gear soon enough. The head looks squished and awful though, hairline look unrealistically thick.

Too many of Mattel's figures are gorgeous from the neck down, i wish they would make it an initiative to create better head sculpts that are on par with Jakks on their best day. Certainly it's not impossible, heads just appear to be where Mattel tries to save a few bucks and skips on detail. Some headsculpts are great and actually come up a little bit short because they just aren't painted will. Would it really be out of the budget to get higher budget paint jobs on the heads?


Moving on

Davey Boy's likenss is uncanny, fantastic. I'm disappointed it's not Wembley 1992 Bulldog though. It appears Mattel uses promo pics more than they look to base these off of iconic matches/moments.


Sid is good from the neck down considering his gear was always bland. That facial likeness is awful though.

Godfather's likeness is great, i still find that singlet torso to be too small for a guy like him though. I wish we had singlet molds for a few more body types. Not sure why his arms are so small either.

Sid looks good, godfather looks great, so does bulldog, sting though... woof.

Sid looks like early 90s Sid Justice head on mid 90s Sycho Sid body. The character on the box is Sycho Sid. And he has a normal happy smile. Jesus

It's not his survivor series debut look. He wore a black shirt and an all black leather coat then.

I'm gonna guess Mizdow is just E37 Miz with B53 Mizdow head

Sting - He really should have the Bushwhackers torso with a cloth shirt. And are the scorpion claws on his hips?! From what they used it looks like the shirt is somehow tucked into his singlet. A full singlet, cloth shirt and the coat was the way to go. Or full singlet and just the jacket if it was a budget issue.

Dolph - I can't tell but did they give him even larger arms than the DM Steamboat's now? They almost look like HHH sized arms in the pic. Anyway another easy pass of a Dolph figure.

Godfather - This is a very easy pass for me. I never cared for the gimmick.

Sid - He looks to long and lanky in the legs. (Especially knees down)

Davey Boy - He look good. No complaints.

And where is Sandow?


Glad I ordered 2 Stings so I can fix one up with the Bushwackers torso.

I think Ziggler is supposed to be from the Survivor Series 2014-ish time frame. Those look like the silver trunks he wore for that match but the boots are wrong. Pretty sure he switched to that boot look at TLC 14 for the first time. I don't want to be too critical because he could have worn that specific attire combo between TLC and January, and maybe I just don't remember it, but it seems like a mash-up. Not what I was hoping for and they still used the too jacked torso and arms. Meh. I'll probably just get a Basic with the newer scan. Pretty let down.

Sid should have 100% had a serious look on his face. That being said, I'll buy it and it looks pretty good but just not the way to go imo.

Godfather and Bulldog, and really Mizdow, are fantastic.
