Does anyone remember why CS1 taker had white boots? It always seemed really odd to me that they would mess up such a big detail like that when the rest of the lineup was pretty much perfect. I remember as soon as I got him having to paint his boots purple. This is probably my least favorite out of the first lineup.

I also forgot that he was titan tron and not ruthless aggression. Kinda weird. Andre was R3 but that one diddnt really bother me.

Was the the original CS1 or the CS1 rerelease that they did towards the end of their license? I passed on both because they were TTL figures.

Because they were cheap mother ers. That's probably why they changed it to a TTL figure too, cutting corners to save money.

I hated how it was a ttl and I never really played with it to much just for that reason. TTL just doesnt look right aginst RA. They also made a TTL ministry of darkness taker that im pretty sure was a re-release of an older figure. This one wasnt to bad but they still should have taken the time to make a new scan for RA. I mean taker was working for wwe its not like they had a problem getting a hold of him to do a scan. Just laziness to fill out the sets i guess.

CS1 Undertaker was originally planned for a Famous Scenes Series 5 2-pack years before, but the concept was abandoned and this is what became of the throwback TTL Undertaker figure. Here's a short, but excellent write-up on the subject: hausoffigures.tumblr.com/post/117134908693/wwf-then-and-now-jakks-titan-tron-live-jakksWWF: Then and Now (Jakks Titan Tron Live)Jakks Pacific was set to release new 2-packs in late 2001-early 2002 called the “Then and Now” series, featuring current and past gimmicks of a WWF Superstar. But by the time they would almost become a reality, WWE had moved away from the Titan Tron Live figures, and were already starting to wave out their R3 style. All of which would soon be replaced by the Ruthless Aggression line. These 2-packs would eventually be the idea behind the very popular “WWE Classic Superstars” line which consisted of 28 series released between 2004 and 2009. In fact, the exact “Phenom” Undertaker shown above in the TTL style still made it into the first Series. Rocky Maivia and Hunter Hearst Helmsley would eventually see Classic Superstar releases as well, but in the updated Ruthless Aggression style.I'm not sure why the boots were painted white. Maybe just the usual Jakks trying to cut corners?

Ahh the Then and Now line. I wanted that Triple H set so bad. I was bummed when it was cancelled. Same here. I remember seeing the prototype images online and I couldn't get enough of them. In a way though, I'm glad that these were never made, because if they had flopped hard at retail, we may never have gotten the Classic Superstars line when we did. Here are pics of the TTL Rocky Maivia prototype (with BCA entrance gear) that was listed on eBay a while back.

CS1 sucked tbh, the only reason they sold well was because they were the first set. Had figures like that appeared midway through the line, they would've warmed pegs so hard.

cs1 was full of flaws. It was a mixed set of RA, TTL, and R3 figures and wrong paint apps
Taker had white boots Andre was R3 with 2 straps and knee pads! (big show with andre head) Warrior had the wrong color orange attire
At the time its all we had so ofcourse we bought them lol
