Time to bring back the Legends!!!! www.pwinsider.com/article/96891/the-raw-audience-is-inand-vince-mcmahon-may-be-on-the-warpath.html?p=1The Monday Night Massacre continues for the WWE raings as the 9/28 episode of Raw garnered 3,330,000 viewers. That is not only down from last week's episode (3,349,000 viewers) but is now the lowest audience for the series (beyond a Christmas holiday episode) since it expanded to a three hour version in July 2012. If you don't think Vince McMahon is going to be on the warpath, now consider this: This is now two weeks in a ROW that Raw has hit that series low. The audience again dropped over the course of the three hours, just as it did last week. The 8 PM hour (featuring John Cena opening the show) was the highlight, bringing in 3,476,000 viewers. The second hour dropped to 3,326,000 viewers before bottoming out in the final hour at just 3,1888,000 viewers. The third hour would, for the second week in a row now, be the lowest audience for the 10-11 PM hour of Raw since the series expanded to three hours. That means the heavily promoted Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt main event, which was pushed all night, failed to keep the audience. Monday Night Football, garnered 13,415,000 viewers (up from last week's 12,479,000 viewers) opposite Raw, winning the night. As I noted in my Raw audio in the Elite section, while the Wyatt vs. Reigns brawl at the end was entertaining, there were a lot of segments on the show that were formulaic and/or repetitive for long-time viewers of the series. There was very little must see and a number of segments that led to short matches, some of which were obviously one-sided. There are also a number of performers who have been around for a long time that really come off as if they are in need of a fresh presentation. Raw ended strong, but had lost a lot of viewers by the time they got there. WWE has a lot of work cut out for them and there are no easy answers. However, the questions going forward that have to be asked: 1- What's going to happen when the major NFL games take place? 2 - How in the world is WWE going to counter-program?

It was a good show but could've been better.

Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt should not be closing Raw at a time when the ratings are desperate. Although Sting's first ever Raw match drew terrible ratings too, so at this point they're probably screwed. Best thing to do is just accept the ratings aren't going to instantly turnaround (apart from one-offs with The Rock etc), and just focus on creating a better show and building the top end of the roster up to be more must-see.

This is kind of fascinating to watch. It's bad of course, but the biggest dog in the yard is showing signs of weakness.
Interesting indeed.
I know it'd never happen, and probably be bad in the long run, but a Cena heel turn is the only thing I can think of that would get people talking about WWE again.

I love WWE, have since 1995, watch all the PPVs, but even I can't watch 3 plus hours of Raw...I struggled last night, was dozing around 9:30, then decide to put of Walking Dead season 5 on Netflix which ove already seen lol

Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt on free TV when it's happened at the last 3 ppvs in a row, among other Raw and Smackdown episodes in the past 3 months as well, doesn't raise ratings?!?! I am shocked!
Here's the thing too. By the time the 3rd hour rolls around, most fans are tired, bored, or turned the channel at a commercial and found something better to watch than Raw.

They 100% deserve that low rating. This company thinks it can sail on autopilot mode and they are going to learn sooner than later that they are just digging themselves deeper and deeper in the hole. Raw last night was unacceptable. Its time to get rid of the 3 hour Raws since they CLEARLY dont have the star power anymore do fill it with watchable content. Their main event scene is non existent right now. Its a bunch of mid and upper mid carders and John Cena, Who is currently in the mid card with a mid card title.

This reminds me of 99 WCW. All the talent in the world, but they can't figure out what to do with it.

If this keeps up who is really going to care about Wrestlemania? Of course its Mania its always a big deal. But I think this could really hurt the biggest show of the year

I'm sure none of this matters, and it won't until Vinnie Mac ain't running the show anymore. He's probably too stubborn to change whatever the heart of the problem is.

It's three hours of a very basic product that's recycled almost every week going up against Monday Night Football in the fall which is known for being a time where they know ratings will hit low points of the year. I expect nothing to change.

The cycle begins again. Raw seems to go from "This show was ok I guess tonight" to "WWE are ing screwed" once the ratings come in. What do they expect? Mid carders wrestling for 3 hours to no crowd reaction isn't going to "pop" and give you a crazy rating. I can't figure out how WWE are playing this, if at all.

With the ways you can watch Raw to football being the most popular thing in America by far nothing they could do would help that dramatically. If Raw was a 8/10 yesterday would that really have changed those ratings??

Is anyone surprised when...
1) The WWE Champ is booked in a ridiculous feud even for 80s/mid-90s eras. Rollins "snapped" Kane's ankel. Kane simply stomped his foot and he was fine. This is suppose to be the "reality" era. Don't do crap like this in todays world.
2) The WWE Champ is booked like a joke.
3) Cena beats any mid-carder building any momentum. People love Cena's open challenge. I don't. We know he won't loose the title on live TV. How are they suppose to build any new stars when Cena beats every midcarder. Owens has been stagnant since loosing twice to Cena. Rusev is no where near as credible as he was before meeting up with Cena. Bray is struggling 1.5 years later from his feud with Cena.
4) This Diva's Revolution is a joke. Its the same crazy, catty divas we've always gotten. Nothing new.
5) Kane and Big Show have prominent top card spots in 2015...just to repeat I said 2015...
Just some thing that pop into my head. Yes MNF always kills the WWE but when the product is at an all time low its very concerning. I'd take the New Generation over this crap any day. At least we got new stars that didn't have there feet cut out from under them for getting over.
Oh can't forget we got back to back 6 man tags last night. Always great stuff...

Nielsen Ratings don't make any sense since only a select amount of people get qualified to become a Nielsen Family
