Couldn't be happier this is happening Hopefully Vince will open his eyes and decide to do something Vince: Dammit Paul, ratings continue to plummet. We need something new. Something drastic. HHH: How about a Cesaro push? Vince: Thats genius! Push Kane to the WWE Title! That'll win the commoners back. HHH: I didn't say... Vince: SHUT UP PAUL! I'M BRAINSTORMING! WRITE THESE DOWN...Kane vs Rollins...Big Show vs Lesnar...Roman Reigns flexing his muscles... HHH: Urgh... Vince: And call Dwayne to see if he wants another title run.

Why can't Triiple H be in full control of the main roster? He's shown he's more than capable. Vince needs to realize he is the problem but he won't.

The talent isn't the problem the 3 hour Raws are. It's like WCW in the later years a roster full of drawing power but writers that can't give us a decent show.

Doesn't most of the majority just DVR shows now anyhow?? If so, wouldn't that make ratings go less and less because people aren't watching it when it airs live, but are watching it later on that night or the following day.

I've always felt that ratings didn't tell the whole story for reasons like that. Also, take into account the people who don't have Nielsen boxes (like me) or that watch the much easier to sit through 90 minute Hulu+ version. The product still needs a shot in the arm and to change, but yea.

overexposure...we've seen every match a million times and can guess the outcome of every match because the booking is terrible...why would I watch something if I can already just imagine it in my head. where are the surprises? honestly I was there live and I wanted to tune out after the first half of the show. it was pathetic. Bring it back to two hours, and maybe even have an off season at this point. let people build anticipation for wrestling shows. I mean they basically take months off anyways might as well just shut down and get healthy and take your time coming up with better booking

Figure I'd just repost this, my general feelings about todays product. The real issue with WWE right now is the fact they put such an emphasis on TV ratings. RAW is 3 hours and it seems they just do filler sh*t for time they have left over. They go by this TV show concept, where theres a start-finish to every show, where the issue is nearly resolved by the time the show is over. There is no cliffhanger main event, no reason to care about the mid card and the titles are seemingly worthless because they are just a prop. The fact they worry about program timing and hourly ratings is killing the company. Regardless of rating, Daniel Bryan would have made you more money from Royal Rumble - WrestleMania and beyond than Batista/Orton. The live crowd translates to TV and if you notice, going from city to city the same guys are getting pops. They refuse to roll with it because of "ratings" and personal agendas. Just look at Cesaro. There is no reason he is in the position that he's in. He is top 5 most talented guys on the roster and the live crowd LOVES him. Kevin Owens same thing. Vince and the rest of the WWE (maybe outside Triple H) doesnt understand where we are in 2015. With DVR, internet and even where Wrestling is, nothing is the same as it was then. A good portion of the audience will not sit through RAW 8-11 live, from start to finish. The audience doesnt like seeing Big Show wrestle Mark Henry. The audience likes wrestlers wrestling in a wrestling ring. The audience doesnt want the good guys winning all the time. And the audience wants an exciting reason to tune in next week.

I'll put this as simple as possible for WWE. WE WANT NEW STARS, YOU ASSHATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Vince: ' Did you hear that Kevin?? What did I tell ya-they want NEWS STARS!! I told you it would be monster ratings if we bring Jon Stewart back to guest host next week!'Don't forget that new, up-and-comer Big Show.

Good. I hope the ratings keep falling until Vince pulls his head out of his ass, and starts making the product good again.

Speaks volumes about this training centre and WWE creating their own in-house "stars". Epic fail.

Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt on free TV when it's happened at the last 3 ppvs in a row, among other Raw and Smackdown episodes in the past 3 months as well, doesn't raise ratings?!?! I am shocked! Here's the thing too. By the time the 3rd hour rolls around, most fans are tired, bored, or turned the channel at a commercial and found something better to watch than Raw. This!!! When I can watch Reigns fight Bray for free, why subscribe to The Network? Why attempt to watch a PPV? The booking needs to change. I believe Stone Cold said it best on the Scott Hall podcast," When someone has a feud, we shouldn't see them have a match until a ing PPV!" Its true. It takes away that excitment. The lazy bookings of taking two fueds and giving fans a tag team match is also a killer. I understand they now have an extra hour to book, but fill it with new stars. Give NXT guys a shot on the main roster to promote NXT and new subscribers. At this point, I think we have seen nearly every member on the roster compete with eachother. With 6 hours a week of content plus NXT and PPV's/specials, WWE has over saturated the audience with wrestling. I think bringing in a Flashback stipulation at an upcoming PPV could help. What about a War Games match with Ambrose/Reigns/Orton vs Wyatts. Two rings, one cage. A feud has grown where one ring is not enough. Yet a cage is needed to keep all men from escaping. Another killer is the overly scripted promo's. That mystery if "What could he/she say next?" Is all but gone. I understand this is television drama, but that real aspect is missing. That needs to be changed. Its very frustrating to watch something you love, get balled up and each week come across as rushed and last second booked. But, thats what you get when you become publicly traded and become a brand.... The originality is gone, and you have to please your share holders....

I wish they'd go back to 2 hours, but probably will never happen. Especially considering how in the world do you promote a loss of an hour of TV?
There's just no story anymore, nothing intriguing, the intensity is gone, nothing is original, its the same stuff week in and week out. There was a certain aura of everyone scrapping their way up the ranks in Attitude Era, even in the Ruthless Aggression era.
But how many big stars has WWE created since 2007/2008? In all reality Punk was the last guy to really break out as a continuous main event guy. Bryan got a little run here and there, and who knows what would have happened without the injuries but there is just nobody getting over these days. The only thing they've pretty much gotten right has been Rollins.

I'd say the WWE shot themselves in the foot with the decision to add an hour but they have enough talent to make it work. They just can't write a show.

This is coming from someone who rarely missed a Raw, Smackdown, ECW, Heat, Velocity, Confidential, etc. from 2002-2011.
Over. Saturation. Killed. Creativity.
Three hours for a Monday Night Raw 12 years ago would have been awesome.
The problem is that there has been a huge time spent without any competition, and with the three hour Raws and the Network, there now is no need to come up with creative writing to make a show work in a two hour time slot.
There has always been a ton of self promotion within WWE programming, so I won't point the finger to that, but beginning around 2009 with all of the "Tout" bs, they have begun to focus so much on the number of social media followers they have, the amount of subscribers to the network, the Facebook fans, that they have lost focus of who is actually watching the show.
I stopped watching originally because of the way they handled the PG era. I'm not an "attitude era die hard", but if we are in the reality era, you can't tell me after watching people get hit with chairs for 10 years that they would bleed and now in 2010 they don't bleed anymore. I understand the reasoning behind the lack of blading, but it does take away from the intensity and story telling of some of the big matches.
You CAN have a PG product and make it still entertaining to the 18-34 demographic. The problem is they just started to completely focus on the kids, not the teens or older kids, but the really young kids. They essentially made it a children's program. The good guy always wins. Language went away. Intensity went with it. I don't need a ton of foul language, but adults don't speak that way when in situations on WWE programming.
The lack of storytelling killed it as well. THREE HOURS of Raw but EVERY other show is full of RAW content. There isn't a focus on SmackDown.
Why should I order the PPV or the Network when I will get the same match ten more times on free TV, or there will be a series of matches to last through four or five PPVs?
One of my favorite things in 2002-2005 was the backstage segments. They were entertaining. A change of scenery. Now we rarely get anything outside of the offices, no backstage brawls.
Everything to me has fallen into this HD Reality show umbrella where everything looks the same week after week, month after month, year after year. The stages are all the same, the characters never change, the story never develops, the fights never turn into real rivalries.
There is no need to tune in, because you'll have the same opportunity to watch it four-five more times that week.

I'm sure none of this matters, and it won't until Vinnie Mac ain't running the show anymore. He's probably too stubborn to change whatever the heart of the problem is. Because he's the problem.
