Seeing Finn Balor now on NXT being the NXT Champion now could Finn become a big star on the main roster? I definitely say that he could be especially given how he is the NXT Champion already but also seeing as how Finn is in the WWE 2K16 video game but also that awesome entrance of Finn Balor's but also in a sense Finn's character is a supernatural character in the vein of Wyatt, Taker, Sting, Kane, etc. but also that in ring ability alone I really do hope Finn comes up to the main roster soon

I see TONS of star potential in Balor. He's great in the ring. Great Physique, Great look in general, awesome entrance. My only issue that I have with him is his mic skills. He's not very good. He comes off as really soft spoken and nice and has no fire at all. Now I actually wouldn't mind this if they went ALL OUT with this Demon side of him and had it really be a split personality to the point where he doesn't even remember the events that happen when he becomes the Demon......UNFORTUNATELY THEY TOOK THIS IDEA WITH KANE!!!!!!!! Which really sucks cause I thought it could be the one thing that could put Balor over the top and give him way more depth as a character.

And if anything The Undertaker if he could pass his supernatural torch to anyone it should be Finn Balor

I'll be honest, I haven't see any of his pre-NXT stuff. But what I have seen since he has been in NXT hasn't impressed me all THAT much. Yeah he's pretty good. But they use his "demon" entrance too much, to the point where it isn't special, and it's a little bit drawn out and sometimes even a little bit cringe worthy. His stature will be a huge road block for him being a main event player, as well as his accent. I want to REALLY like Finn, but as it is so far, I only kind of like him, and I haven't see anything to make me believe that he will get a main event push on the main roster. I could be wrong, but I just don't see it happening.

With all do respect, the idea wouldn't work with Balor - he doesn't really seem as though he has the skills or conviction to follow through on it. As awesome as he is in terms of look, in ring work and match quality, he severely lacks personality. His whole 'demon' persona is only ever some paint on ppvs, everything else about him is unchanged. As great as his work is inside the ring, his mic skills and personality is very bland. That was great in Japan where technical brilliance is more favored, but in the U.S. Where you need to bring that entertainment factor, that's not going to cut it. He needs a stronger personality that is more blatantly something. He has no real gimmick besides occasionally wearing some paint. He seems destined to do well on the main roster, but if he could pull all this off, it would only serve to help him do better.

Finn Balor in some ways also reminds me of a young Sting

Finn Balor is the perfect mixture of Jeff Hardy and John Cena with enormous headlining babyface potential.
There's a few serious problems, though:
1. He's small 2. Vince McMahon & Kevin Dunn 3. His age
The first point kind of rolls into the second. His career on the main roster is going succeed or fail based on Vince McMahon's preconceived notions about his drawing power related to his lack of size. If Vince is willing to listen to other people about Finn and give him an honest chance, he's going to make them money and be a viable main event player. If Vince gives into his usual self-fulfilling prophecy, as he typically does, Finn will go absolutely nowhere on the main roster.
My inclination is to say Finn shouldn't be called up until Vince and Dunn are gone, but that's not going to work because of his age. In order to get the most out of him, they're going to need to pull the trigger really soon.

Finn has made it pretty clear that he's not even interested in going to the main roster...at least not right now.
He's stated that he wants to stay in NXT to help build that brand.

I tend to read into that "wanting to build the brand" a little bit. Finn's a smart guy, he probably looks at his peers who have been called up and knows that he's currently far better off in Orlando.

I'd be laughing my a** of in the ring if I was his opponent. And what is with the jester hat? He is good in the ring and I get that his look will appeal to most but I think he will be an upper midcard act at most, and there isn't anything wrong with that. I don't dislike him at all and enjoy his in ring skill but with all the hype I have been severely underwhelmed.

Jeff Hardy, who was the most over talent in WWE in 2009, wore face paint to the ring virtually every time out during that period. But you're probably right, it's been done to death, and nobody wants to see that anymore.

The Boogeyman is a better comparison. 2009 was a long time ago. Just about every time I have seen Balor wrestle he has used it. IN MY OPINION, the entrance should be saved for very special occassions, lest everyone get used to it and it not be a special thing. I never said nobody wants to see it anymore, that was you. It hasn't been done to death yet, but it will be eventually.

So really what you're saying is you don't watch NXT at all besides TakerOvers, which are special occasions and the only time Balor wears the paint. Watch a weekly episode of NXT, he comes out in normal attire, no paint. He's literally already doing the exact thing you're suggesting. BUT GOOD ON YOU FOR USING CAPITAL LETTERS TO EMPHASIZE THAT YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!!!

I don't watch every NXT episode, but I do watch it occasionally. It doesn't need to be done at every Takeover. It would also look better with the weird cheap looking streamers and jester hat that don't mesh with the awesome body paint. LOUD NOISES!!!!!

So many "but also's" in that post. Seesh
But I agree. I said it weeks ago. If treated right he's going to be a big deal. Maybe not THE guy but a guy along the lines of Jeff Hardy.
