Will post pictures once my phone is charged. A little disappointed for two reasons: One, despite paying the additional money for the protection, the top of the card is a bit damaged as it doesn't close all the way. It just feels like it could have been closed tighter, but there's some parts of the cardboard that are sticking out. I know the additional fee doesn't guarantee anything though so it is what it is.  Two, Hall is missing paint on his hair. I won't remove it fromt he box, but there's missing paint so it looks like he's been played with. I know he hasn't, but I'm just trying to be descriptive in case the pics aren't showing it properly)  (I'm hoping that the fact that card feels like it won't close properly and that the figure looks like its been through some battles doesn't mean it actually has. I'm just hoping its a minor mishap, and wasn't a display piece for the videos). It is an awesome figure though. Love it despite the flaws mine has. Love the detail too. |

By my understanding, the pps or whatever gives you the best selection available as well as better protected shipping. Perhaps try RSC and do a swap

Not the worst paint app I've seen but it's really not good. Easy to fix but we shouldn't have to open a figure and start touching it up.

Looks like it's been handled a bit. I've never received a figure that's had that much paint wear when "new"

Do you think it's worth complaining? The idea is to one day have Hall sign this figure and keep it in my collection. I might just add a piece of tape to keep the side down, which seems to be all that is missing. But what about the missing paint?
Honestly, now that I've looked at it more, it doesn't really bother me--especially as I figure it will be 'covered" up once I finally get Hall to sign it.

I'm angry for you man
I just got back from Smyths after buying Basic 54 Rock, and between smudged eyebrows and missing paint on his shirt, it took me six figures before I found a good one
I was tempted to start a 'Quality control thread' for stuff like this, because, while the Mattel product is sick, if Bill thinks that the quality control is fine, then sorry, there is no way he is seeing his product in bulk

If I was you I'd say something to ringside but if you don't feel like going through that process id just add a small piece of tape I mean you pay extra so this exact thing dosent happen

I think I'm just going to forget about it. I mean there is no guarantee that the next figure I get will be better. It's a "minor" issue in that it doesn't really affect the "value" I have on my collection. I know me. I'll get this signed (HOPEFULLY ONE DAY!), and never let go of it. Heck, I still have an Ice Train autograph framed. Ice Train. Let that one sink in for a bit. So, the box (which can be fixed with tape) and lack of paint won't devalue my collection. Probably best it went to me in the end. Glad I could come here and vent though.  Yeah, and I think I learned my lesson too. No more paying extra. It doesn't really make that much of a difference. Especially since I only order one item at a time. (Side note, the first figure I ever purchased was Paige Elite. Didn'tknow they had that extra packaging deal. Out of all my other orders, it came out the best. My others that I ordered with the extra packaging had slight bends to them. Paige was truly MOC and I didn't pay anything else. The others, they were not bad, but I probably could have found them in store for better) |

The box isn't worth complaining about. But the head looks like it's been stepped on, so that's definitely worth complain about!

I got two of my own today.
One has a badly smudged elbow pad and specks of black paint on its forehead. That's the one I'll keep moc lol
The other one doesn't even have most of the hair curl on his forehead even painted at all. And one elbow pad is turned backwards.
Whatever.
i have more worry than excitement when I get a package in the mail nowadays.
Still,...great figure. Great packaging

Sucks about the packaging and paint loss. I'm never worried about boxes since I collect loose but I'm always concerned with paint loss when buying online vs retail.

It's why I hate online shopping, because I know these figures can have defects and inpike to minimize by buying in person. I have seen figures with paint missing and warped parts and arms dangling off the pegs and like to know that in advance. Hope the Kevin Nash doesn't come busted like that when I order it.
