To start off, I don't have an issue with the Dudley Boyz being back in WWE. Although, I'm very surprised they signed full time contracts. The WWE needs to help rebuild the tag division.
That being said, I feel like the Dudley Boyz need an update. It's like they took the same team from 2004 and dropped them in 2015. The same ring attire, the same music, etc. Its like 11 years passed and nothing changed. I just think evolving their characters or changing them up a bit would do wonders. It's just the same moves and routine with the "wassssup" head butt and table stuff.
I always like how Chris Jericho would tweak his character or look every time he returned. The same goes for CM Punk also. I think making some updates to the Dudleyz would make them come across as a fresh, new team while still having the same background of being a kickass veteran team.
I'm not sure what they need. Maybe introduce a new Dudley? Maybe hire Velvet Skye to shake her ass? I dunno but something, anything new would be nice to see.
How do you guys feel about this? Any suggestions?

I'm ok with them being a nostalgia act for the tag division. Perhaps if they updated the wassup spot with something different, that would be enough. The attire is kind of something I identify them with so I don't want to see a drastic change there. I mean how well did that work out for LOD late in their career with LOD 2000, Sunny, and Rocco?

I actually liked LOD 2000 before Droz and drunk Hawk. Plus, Sunny was still a tremendous, hot piece of ass at the time. I think that evolution was perfect for the Attitude Era. Completely agree. Least give them a new version of their song, tweaks to their look, something/anything to differentiate themselves from 10 years ago.

its working right now....they were "gone" for SO long, you gotta give people their feelings of nostalgia and fun. they've only been back a short time.
i wish they would use a different theme, the original instrumental one, its so much more intense.
but i love their ring attire, it's unique in the current day product
the wazzzaap spot is dated like 18 years at this point, but again they are just doing the nostalgia run for now
i would expect since they are gonna be around awhile that some things will change down the line. i think it's just too soon right now, people just want to cheer for tables, and go wazzaappp and stuff.
but i agree with your point overall. just give it a little time.

They are essentially icons at this point, i really wouldn't update them too much. Thing is, they are in the WWE right now for the sole purpose of being a nostalgia act that can still go. I'd leave it alone.
If they went heel and Bubba went back to the Bully Ray shorts, noone would be accusing them of being stale. They've always been a little bit less entertaining as babyfaces. What i wouldn't give to see them be the anti ''Be a Star'' team man lol. Just bully they guys under 30, eventually putting over a younger tag team.

Bully Ray has the ability to be the most glorious heel on the roster and he's stuck in a nostalgia act. To be fair, they've made the New Day look amazing with the Save the Tables stuff and the crowd loves them, but it's hard not to think about what they could be doing with him.
Is what it is, a portion of the audience really hasn't seen their act or don't really remember it. I agree with what you're saying, and maybe a heel turn with Bully lighting it up on the mic will come, but I didn't expect WWE to really get crazy with them.
When people go see Van Halen in concert they don't go to hear new tunes, they want the greatest hits. That's kind of what's happening right now.
