One afternoon, I made a trip to KB Toys and they had an Adrenaline Booker T/Eddie Guerrero in stock. I was drawn to the Guerrero figure because I really needed an updated figure - the last one I had was his TTL figure. My dad bought the Adrenaline pack, I went home and immediately opened it and started playing with the Guerrero figure. A few minutes later, I went on WWE.com...and found out Eddie had passed away. I was freaked out, to say the very least.
I had a similar situation happen, except I was 15 or 16 and already a member here. After FINALLY getting the Treacherous Trios Eddie in a trade (Which had his forearm tattoo, the gold boots, big torso, and sweet aqua tights) on a Thursday or Friday...he died that Saturday/Sunday. This was also at the same time I was only allowing myself to keep like 15 figures and I spent a lot of effort determining which guys I would get. I remember feeling like such a dick trying to trade/sell that figure...and even remember referencing my post classifieds post how I was not trying to capitalize off of Eddie's death...I just only collected active wrestlers. I think I traded it for some Cade and Murdock customs...only to find out the guy used gum to make Lance Cade's hair. Karma.
