Vince Russo booked himself, Vince McMahon, and David Arquette to be world champs. Just a random thought I had today and it really sums up his career for me.
Anyone else as amazed as I am that he has lasted as long in the business as he has?

He's not a bad "mind" for the business. He just needs a filter to get rid of the bullcrap ideas he comes up with. That's what Vince was for. WCW & TNA refused to filter him.

Well remember, Vince wasn't the only filter for Russo during his time in WWE. I mean just look at some of the stuff we've gotten in a post Russo era, and you can realize McMahon at times, needs his own filter too.

Russo/McMahon made a great team. On their own, there have certainly been more "Why?" moments.

Vince Russo gets shat on a lot for story lines, but Vince Russo saved the WWF Magazine back in the mid 90s. He was pretty much the master mind behind it and took over, and because of him, we got the additional Raw Magazine. His character as "Vic Venom" was refreshing in the magazine and wasn't afraid to say what he felt.
I like Vinnie Ru, and always have. I think his problem is at times is he gets this amazing idea in his head and somehow he keeps growing it to the point that it is horrible.
Take WCW in 2000. He knew he had to have a shake up and his idea was to turn Goldberg heel. Which technically wouldn't be bad if they had a plan after that. Maybe a WCW Title reign again?? But no, a heel turn, a stupid feud with Nash over Scott Hall's contract, and then a feud with Scott Steiner which then turned Golberg face because of it. Not the best booking there.

Yeah not a fan of Russo. Anybody that gives him a lot of credit for booking needs to look at WCW in the year 2000. He was literally firing crap at the wall to see what stuck.
