I thought it was a pretty ridiculous thing to announce the engagement to the public when he has an ongoing storyline. If he doesn't take the storyline serious (however terrible), how are the fans going to. I expect to see him losing to Heath Slater next week.   |

I thought it was a pretty ridiculous thing to announce the engagement to the public when he has an ongoing storyline. If they do get punished for it, then that's ridiculous. Vince needs to realise that Kayfabe died years ago, and that nobody bought this crappy storyline for a single second.

If there is any shred of truth to this then WWE is completely ridiculous. They will have a segment where Paige and Nikki have to be pulled apart in a heated brawl and then show a Total Divas commercial where they're having a beach house party together.....we're supposed to hate Sheamus and Seth Rollins, but we'll get video packages with them hugging fans at charity events, reading to kids or wearing Susan G. Komen shirts...and of course, the endless dvd ads where we get wrestlers out of character talking about storylines or writers.....at least the TMZ stuff isn't actually show during frigging prime time WWE programing. The WWE themselves do no favors for kayfabe or at least make any attempt to preserve whatever is left of it at all. Why the hell would they punish a guy for something that we don't even see plastered or advertised on RAW, Smackdown or the network??

Rusev saved us from continuing to watch a horrible storyline that will lead to nowhere for everybody. Glad it's finally over now he can move on to do something else.

The fan in me is ok with it, Rusev is ridiculously overrated to me.

I was pretty shocked when the news broke about the engagement, but personally I think it actually helped this otherwise dull storyline.

Vince is disgusted that a "guy like rusev" can score a hot chick like Lana. Even more mad that his little plan to break them irl up by forcing them to constantly make out with other attractive wrestlers didn't work.
