I'm trying to figure out the figure debuts of Brock Lesnar and Batista and could use a little help.
Occasionally I will see a Brick Lesnar TTL style figure which I have to assume is a Off the Ropes figure and not TTL proper, and was wondering if that beat the RA debut to market.
On Batista I have seen pics on here of a Final Count Finishing Moves type Batista in long tights fighting Mark Henry. Again, my question is whether or not this figure came first or was some holdover from that line dying as RA overtook it.
Also, it would be helpful to know of any and all non-RA style figures of each of these wrestlers. So Micro, Build n'Brawl, Havok Unleashed, etc. I'm attempting to go for every figure released on each if these guys. Thanks!

Final Count Series 2-Pack with Mark Henry; it was released to stores in February 2003, or about three months before his Ruthless Aggression Series 2 figure was out. Brock Lesnar's first figure was in the inaugural Off The Ropes Series in January 2003; his Ruthless Aggression Series 1 figure came out about a month later.

Chicago, do you have a spreadsheet of release dates or some kind of crazy super memory? Thanks, you're the man!

Cool, thanks for the link!
I'd say that my Mattel memory was damn near perfect last year, but it has slipped, I guess my memory retention is around 4-5 years before it deteriorates. Now I have a hard time remembering who was in the earliest sets.

I could have sworn Brocks first figure was the TTL King of the Ring set in 02? Anyone else remember that? I know i had to check.TRU daily for that thing for 2 weeks straight before finding one hidden in those bins/flaps TRU used to have above the pegs.

Brock was in the King of the Ring Series released in December 2002, so that would be his first Jakks figure.

Thanks, what is the difference with this one and the Off the Ropes figure. I'm pretty sure I've seen that Kotr figure before.

Thanks, what is the difference with this one and the Off the Ropes figure. I'm pretty sure I've seen that Kotr figure before. There are actually three different TTL Off The Ropes Series Brock Lesnar figures. Off the Ropes Series 1 is similar to the KOTR figure, except it has white wrist tape, a partially closed left fist and shorter boots. Off The Ropes Series 3 is similar to Series 1, except it has black wrist tape and a closed left fist. Off The Ropes Series 5 is similar to Series 3, except it has a slightly opened left fist and larger back tattoo. Credit: eBay user figurecollections for the first two MOC pics.

weird, I've never seen the OTR Brocks, and i was still collecting at that time. I do remember the King of the Ring figure being his first though. I know the FC/FM Bastista/Mark Henry set used to go crazy money for the Mark Henry alone. It was his only non bca until the later RA sets, people used it for the head (customizing)

Yep Brock in the KotR set came out in November 2002 over here. Never did get that one, but luckily my mum got me his RA figure and I loved it. My first RA one, having known nothing about the line before hand. Still cherish it to this day. But if I had a ttl Brock I might let that one go. Something about ttl figures that just resonate more with me than RA. Childhood nostalgia must be it.
I'd actually like the RA 2 Batista too, since I couldn't get it at the time, and it's a nice attire.
Also, I remember some time last year someone posted an image of a Raw draft Lesnar. It looked legit enough, same ttl figure but definitely wasn't made at the time despite the fact he was included on the checklist on the cardback. Which didn't mean much since there are about 10 others on there who weren't made either. I think someone debunked it because the font on a card insert or something was the wrong type.

The vacuform doesn't even match him, and why would they squish his legs together considering that there is no precedent for that ever happening to any other TTL figure? The biggest tell-tale sign is the upper right corner of the bubble having signs of being opened and carefully resealed but not quite hitting the mark. Guess some fool was trying to make a fortune.

Just to clarify, I know it's fake, that's what I said so in my post above it, and why I posted the link to the thread. However, it looks cool on its own and reckon it could have fooled someone into paying top dollar for it. Plus "1 of 10"? Not being modest are they? I just wish we could find out more from the guy who claimed his uncle gave it to him and passed it off as legit.

Good Lord, I forgot how atrocious TTL figures could be, and those Brock Lesnar figures right there proved that. Why Jakks felt the need to make so many TTL figures too even during the RA style figures just seemed weird to me.

I think that people who try to make action figure phonies like this with their "skillz" are just sad is all. This isn't fooling anybody for more than a minute.
