With Hell In A Cell coming up on Sunday, I feel this is as good a time as any to post this. I was wondering, among this group, when was the last time you were so lost in a particular match or moment, that your belief was totally suspended? I mean suspended to the point you felt like you had, before you knew anything about spoilers/gossip or the inner politics we are so accustomed to nowadays. I'd like to share my moment, and then I'm curious to know yours.
It was Hell In A Cell 2013 from Miami. It was the second year of dating my now-fiance. A few weeks before the event, she and I were watching Smackdown, and at that moment, they were hyping Bryan-Orton in the Cell for the vacated title. She turns to me and asks - "So, you going to watch that at home when it happens?" I responded that I most likely would - thinking no more of it. Fast forward to the Thursday the 24th, three days before the event. Apparently, her mom - after failing to win tickets for us on the radio - had decided to buy HIAC tickets herself, as a gift for us. Next thing I know, I'm on TicketMaster, trying to pick out where I want to sit without looking at the prices. My future MIL bought floor seats five rows from the ring. Before I knew it, I went from watching it at home to being up close and personal, and able to take our chairs home.
Standing in line to get into the building that night, my homemade Bryan poster caught the attention of a Miami Herald reporter, and we were interviewed as fans for the Herald website. Ironically, my poster was taken by security (and returned after) for being big enough to block the hard camera. Still, I was amazed at how close we were. We had fun and enjoyed the whole show. But it was the main event that resonated most with me. It was then that it began to sink in that I could possibly see Bryan make history in front of my eyes. With the action so close, close enough to hear the cage rattle upon impact, I lost myself in the match. I made myself forget that this was technically a second-tier PPV, and I hoped I would witness a miracle. When they ended with HBK's attack on Bryan, I was as disappointed as I would've been at the age of 12, watching on TV. Still, I appreciated the circumstances that put me in the arena that night. What would've made it perfect would've been my current-hero winning. When he didn't, I was brought back to reality - but I'll never forget that night.
Maybe you don't have an elaborate story, but please share any similar moments.

The streak breaking. Being in NOLA & there was just total silence. It was as if someone died. Just very surreal.

Mine came from a really unexpected source: But, for a moment, I thought WWE got good again....
But this was the last time I spit out my drink in disbelief at what was happening on the screen....
Never thought Henry had this kind of talent in him - he proved me wrong, and I loved it!
The whole angle sucked after this, though....
Take a lesson, WWE...... wrestling fans LOVE to be fooled!

Torn. The Streak had me sitting back for about ten minutes thinking "Well... ." But a weird one for me, seeing the New Age Outlaws win the tag titles live at the Rumble last year. I'd never been to a wrestling show before then, and I couldn't believe they actually won...love Road Dogg, so that was maybe more a mark out moment than disbelief. Edge's retirement kind of came from left field to me, and seeing as he was one of my favorites ever... But yeah most likely The Streak tops it.

That was epic! That gave me a new found respect for Mark, was so nice to see Cena look like a chump for always trying to be the good guy.

I will say the Streak, but something else as well.
CM Punk's MITB victory in 2011 was a huge shock to me. Although I knew the PPV was going to be held in Chicago, the rumors of him actually leaving were so rampant that I totally believed Cena would retain. When it happened, I was in shock and in joy at the same time.

John Cena overcoming the odds each time he steps into the squared circle always shocks me! The announcers always tell us he is a huge underdog in his matches but he always comes out on top!!

In person, would have been WM24, Flair losing to HBK. People in the crowd were crying. It was a magical moment.
As far as on TV, The Streak ending... I yelled "What?Wait? thats it? Its Over?" Like 10 times.

The Punk vs Cena MITB championship match. I did a reasonable job of avoiding spoilers but that wasn't too hard since Punk hadn't signed a new contract up to that very day anyway. I spent the whole match wanting Punk to win but honestly believing there was no way it would happen even if meant Vince would do another Montreal Screw Job. Then Punk did win and I thought here comes the cash-in. Del Rio tried but Punk got away with the title. His exit through the crowd with the belt in hand was a perfect end. That night reality collided with fiction in such a way that I was completely sucked in.
Before that it would be One Night Stand RVD vs Cena because my favorite wrestler won the title, Cena lost, and the crowd was awesome throughout the match.

Truth's heel turn. I know it's not as major as all the other ones, but I thought I was dreaming when he got that cigarette from a fan and started smoking.

Not WWE, but the Cero Miedo match in Lucha Underground. I knew that Pentagon Jr. was winning because of spoilers, but I had no idea the match was going to be as brutal as it was. I was completely lost in the match and felt like I was actually watching Vampiro fight for his life against Pentagon.

This is one of the few times I was super into something on WWE in the last couple of years. Seriously one of the most shocking moments in recent history.

Just a few in recent memory
Punk winning the title at MITB 2011 Kane returning with the mask Raw 2011 Rock pinning Cena at Mania 28 — thought for sure he was there to put over Cena Lesnar breaking the streak at Mania 30 Daniel Bryan winning the WWE World Title at Mania 30 Sting debuting at Survivor Series 2014
Im sorry but if you didn't see the Shield breakup coming for months you weren't paying any attention to TV.

The Streak ending, I never been more shocked in my entire life. CM Punk winning at MITB would of been up in my list as well, but unfortunately I missed it as I was in Mexico for the weekend.
