After rebounding last week, Monday’s episode of Raw dropped back to an all-time ratings and viewership low. Last night’s episode drew 3.248 million viewers and a 1.11 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic. Those numbers are down 3% and 5% from last week’s 3.354 million and 1.17 demo rating. The previous low in each came with 3.284 million viewers on October 12th and a 1.12 demo rating on October 19th. Raw ranked #4 among cable originals for the night; Monday Night Football led the way as usual with 12.404 million viewers and a 4.6 demo rating (both down from 12.479 million and a 4.65 last week). The hourly numbers are as follows: 8 PM: 1.18 demo rating (3.42 million viewers) 9 PM: 1.10 demo rating (3.368 million viewers) 10 PM: 1.15 demo rating (3.260 million viewers) Source: spam.com/wrestling/wwe-raw-rating-slips-to-new-low/

I thought Raw was gonna hit it big with the traditional Survivor Series match for the closing of the show, but then they used last years formula with having Woods go first within seconds (much like Mark Henry last year) followed by elimination, elimination, and elimination on both teams.
Having Seth get dq'ed was understandable I suppose, but I hated how they announced that the entire team of Roman's was victorious. Uhhh..... no. For Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns are the sole survivors, not the Usos or Ryback.
I didn't find Raw to be horrible last night, but at the same time I was also drinking during it and usually when you drink, everything at that moment seems enjoyable and fun.

During the most recent conference call, I believe it was with stockholders, Vince McMahon said that the WWE has a "great on-air product."
I think that speaks volumes right now.

Doesn't surprise me really, WWE has NOTHING going on right now. They have a lot of matches happen on Raw, but almost all of them mean NOTHING! The Diva's match meant something, it had meaning (the winner got a title shot), and it was a 4 way match (not a tag match). Everything else on that show just seemed stale and boring. They have to start giving fans a reason to want to watch Raw and make them feel like Raw is can't miss TV.
Well, they don't have to, but IMO they should. I have watched Raw since I can remember, and I don't want to stop because I like wrestling but sadly they are just not giving me any reasons to watch anymore.

While I think the last two weeks have been positive, in terms of putting the younger, up and coming, talent in the spotlight, the format hasn't really changed. The number one contender Raw was refreshing, and worked, but even with better actual booking this week, the format was still relatively the same. In other words, nothing was happening.
Also, I get that a number of you are "good match" people, but that kind of stuff doesn't necessarily hold the audience. We've seen that, and there is ratings proof that supports that fact. You have to suck in viewers with segments and then make them care about who wins the match. You can't just have random matches, even quality matches, and expect a causal audience to care. It doesn't work that way. Casual viewers need both sports and entertainment. This kind of goes back to everyone knows it's "fake," and because of that they need a reason to forget that the winner is predetermined.
It has to get worse before it gets better. New Gen went through the same cycle. So when you go all-in with stars who don't have big star power, you have to take a hit in order to build up that star power. This is WWE's fault though. Had they invested in younger stars when they had big stars, they wouldn't be in a situation where they have to force young guys into positions where they carry the show before they're ready. Many of us said for years that relying too much on the older stars would eventually bite them in the ass, and we're pretty much seeing that now.

I think they have had two great shows back to back. I am enjoying WWE's focus on younger talent. And as I said in the RAW thread, the in ring portion could not be better. We had several great matches on this week. The only thing I'd like to see is more backstage segments and some random WWE style comedy.

They're biggest problem is that they don't promote any matches. If last week sometime they announced that they would have the Survivor Series Elimination match on Raw, maybe people would have watched.
Guess what? You can have the best Raw ever, and it will still have a craprating if you don't give people incentive to watch in the first place.

In the grand scheme of things, the rating was almost identical to the one two weeks ago. WWE isn't going to fret about a drop that small when they've been hemorrhaging ratings over the last few months and haven't shown the slightest indication of concern.
During the conference call, the acknowledged the decline (only after the question was poised to them, mind you) and they shifted blame away from themselves entirely.

I watched Raw for the first time last week in a month because most of stale, top guys would be gone and was pleasantly entertained. Then they announced the survivor series match to start the show and it drew me in to watch Raw this week...and then they follow the same thing as last year. Cool when we saw Henry get eliminated right away. With Woods I rolled my eyes because they once again recycled something less than a year old. Why not do something different? Have one team dominate instead of constant eliminations from both sides. Ryback being eliminated so easily had me mad as all Seth did was hit him from behind and it was enough to hit the Pedigree. They did it just to get rid of him. Either plan out a unique match (they have 180 friggin minutes) or don't book the match at all.

One being that they are taped hours ahead of time and I have read the spoilers. Secondly, I hate the UK crowd a lot of the time. No offense to you fellow UK people on here, but the loud obnoxious air horn that gets blown at times at these events just kills the show for me. I am sure Fandango is happy to know that the WWE is heading to the UK. It's the only place he gets over cause of that Fandango dance and song.
