The only good thing is that he will be a top babyface when he returns.
They need to have Ambrose/Reigns for the title final, have Reigns turn and join the Authority. Then based off the screwy finish they could start the build to Ambrose winning the Rumble and facing Reigns.
HHH though could come out and run down Rollins for being weak and thats why they turned to Reigns. That plants the seeds for HHH/Rollins at SummerSlam next year for Rollins return.
Actually this works out well big picture because it was clear to seee Rollins was about to get buried 12 ft under by Reigns.

Should've kept the title vacant until the Royal Rumble and then had the Royal Rumble match for the title and then an Elimination Chamber match, for the number one contendership at Wrestlemania.
That way you get 2 months to build up a handful of guys for a title reign, then you have a credible Elimination Chamber and pick of guys in and around the main event for the next year

I sign in and this is the news i see? . As if i needed any more reasons to take an extended break from WWE. This just shows you how thin the main event scene really is and it was a matter of time before it back fired in their faces. Who can seriously be a contender for the WWE championship other than Reigns? This is the result of WWE only building 1 guy at a time. There is no good scenario that can come out of this. If Reigns win, It will be just like his RR win, Painfully obvious and fans will likely turn on him again winning the belt in some random tournament. Sheamus has the MITB contract but the guy has been in the low midcard fighting in a thrown together tag match with Wade Barrett. Him winning would devalue the belt tremendously. Who else? Everyone else is in the mid card in a loop and there is no possible way for them to be a credible WWE champion in such a short amount of time. |

This has totally ed off my entire day. Rollins is one of the best. Was he going to beat Reigns? Was he going to headline Wrestlemania? Was he going to beat Punks record as champ? So many unanswered questions. I totally agree. I was having a good day and this ed it up. Imo Rollins had a GREAT shot of getting to a year as champion (and if so they might have said, " it! Just AJ we are going to erase Punk's record!"  )... Now the list of people who can conceivably win is so damn low and the obvious choice of Reigns winning is pretty much a lock.. Hopefully he at least turns heel because that would be kinda interesting. |

Wow, I opened this thread thinking it was a work. Sucks that Rollins is legit hurt. Now is the time for the WWE to get themselves out of the corner they painted themselves into by NOT putting the belt on Reigns.

This is bad. Seth is a really talented wrestler and he puts his all into his work, and now he's gonna be out for 6-9 months. Such a shame, hopefully he has a speedy recovery.
