I didn't vote because I prefer no one thing over another. This isn't a one size fits all issue. Some neutral faces like the upcoming Finn Balor look amazing. Some neutral faces like basic 46 Big Show look like absolute boredom with living. Some expressive yelling scans look like doody, such as that infamous Cena. Some look very life-like in the case of Elite 30 Lesnar or Basic 37 Roman Reigns.

As is pretty well known around these parts, generally I prefer serious headscans. First choice is usually straight-faced, and my secondary preference is usually a slight snarl or frown.
My primary concern is that the figure's expression will look right for general in-ring WRESTLING poses or play. Smiles or intense-screams are less flexible for these purposes.

I, like many others, think it depends on the character. Some need to have a smirk, growl, or screaming. Warrior looks great screaming. Star Dust and Ambrose look great with the smiles they have. I would love Edge to get a good scan other than what we have received. I would like them to try this one...

Of the few headscans we've seen, I thought the Alex Riley one looked pretty good.

Depends on who....and technically speaking, they're headsculpts. Something that Jakks did that infuriates me to this day is how many screaming scans they gave Jeff Hardy. Jeff always did the exact same expression in his photo shoots. There was a severe lack of straightfaced Jeff Hardy's in the Jakks line... They FINALLY got it right 5 years too late. If Mattel ever makes Jeff figures, please for the sake of my sanity, do not give him a bunch of stupid screaming scans. Jeff NEVER made those expressions.

What do they frown for? Why would you want a figure with a sad face?

It depends on the figure, because on the Ultimate Warrior Legends 6 figure it was really awesome his screaming scan. I love the Roman Reigns screaming scan. But the brock lesnar scan screaming it trully looks bad, for me i dont like it because it makes his head strande, i prefer the neutral one for him. For Ryback it would be really interesting to see a screaming scan be made.

It just depends on the wrestler really. I agree, for instance AJ Lee's figs usually don't go farther than a smirk because that's what she did most of the time, but Brie Bella or Paige scream as part of their gimmicks, so a shouting expression would work for them as well as a neutral. Actually, now that I think about it, I'd love to see a Charlotte with a "WOO!" scan. I feel a "woo" scan on a female may come off the wrong way.

I went with neutral but I don't want them to be expressionless. As someone who shoots pics for his fed, it looks stupid when somebody has a giant smile on their face when they're getting suplexed or If they're screaming while having a civil conversation. A smirk or scowl mainly works for any situation.

I don't like Sid smiling, that's for sure. Agree totally!

Totally depends. Rollins new scan looks phenomenal and it's perfect. I guess in general I'm good with neutral but there have been plenty of expressions I've liked.

It would be cool if the newest Rollins headscan had a bit of disgust, since he seldom looks this deadpan. I totally agree with what smurf said above. A mostly neutral expression, with just a bit of character, makes for the best faces.

I'll go with best fits the character and if the wrestler has multiple figures, mix the scans up...

Neutral, unless it pertains well to the character, for example bayley smiling, Ambrose's tongue out, harpers tongue slightly sticking out etc.

mostly neutral but I suppose it depends on the character. I do love the screaming brock scans, & I know I shouldn't & I like the smiling one too & his neutral one(I just like all Brock scans)
