I've never made a custom anything before. Unless you count childhood part swapping of the original Power Rangers toys, where they were screwed together and if you wanted a black ranger with red arms, all you needed was a screwdriver lol! So I got the idea to make a Stephanie that looked close to her and Brie's feud the night she got arrested. It took a Lana body, her basic head, and her elite arms... Not worth destroying figures over and the arm pegs aren't compatible at all. I filed them down as best as I could and they're just sorta sitting in there. I have what I wanted though, more or less. Not sure if I'm ever gonna do any other projects again. The elite Steph was totally ruined. :/   |

Maybe you didn't boil the water hot enough? Looks great though! It took me many trail and errors before getting swaps and customs right. Takes mistakes to perfect your craft.  |

Thanks folks! And yeah maybe the water could've been boiled hotter or I could've let the bodies set in it longer. My concern was leaving the figure in the pan. I mean I didn't want to melt it to the bottom of the pan, and I also didn't want to leave my hand over it for very long and melt me lol! But the arms are still entirely different. Lana's like a basic body compared to the Elite-ish regular Divas. So Elite Steph's arms would've worked perfectly fine on her Basic series body if anyone wants to do that swap. But I'm good with what I've got, and I still have another basic and elite Steph. If I muster up the gumption to do another custom, it'll be a male. The bigger torsos don't seem as intimidating after cracking female torsos now. |
