Rather disgusting to be fair.

It was very sick taste to bring that up. I'm not blaming Charlotte or Paige as they were doing and saying what they were told, but the creative team really did just dig as deep as they could to get cheap heat in a disgusting way.

I didn't see the segment, but Vince has always loved to mock the dead just for cheap heel heat and to generate a reaction from people. After all the terrible ways Vince has mocked sick/dead people over the years, I hope after he dies we get a segment of Dean Ambrose towing his casket out of a cemetery when Hunter dives on top trying to stop him. But I have a feeling we won't.

You really can't argue with her, particularly the hashtag #cheapheat. Thats exactly what it was. It was mild though in comparison to what Punk did spreading Paul Bearer's fake ashes on Taker so soon after his death or Bossman hijacking Big Show's father's casket at the funeral.

I've stated a bunch of times now; I'm disgusted by it all.

It's entertainment. How many times have real deaths been mocked on Family Guy and Adult Swim and dark comedies? I'm not saying it's right, but we have to remember that this isn't real. It's scripted statements approved by a guy who thought having an on-screen incestual relationship with his daughter was on the pulse of what the people wanted.

I thought it was effective, and hit me pretty hard considering my brother also passed away from a similar situation like Reid. In my opinion you should consult the immediate family before insulting someone's son or daughter.. and in most cases the answer will always be " ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) off"

I'm sorry, but whenever I've heard a shoot interview about this sort of controversial stuff, the talents are usually involved before the go ahead is given.
Charlotte would have not only known it would have been said, but she would have given it the ok. Ric too most likely out if respect.
If they are ok with having it said, then we shouldn't have a problem

Obviously Charlotte was in on it, she's the one who brought Reid up in the first place! But I still think that it was not needed and I think WWE should be a little bit more creative than to try and capitalize on real life tragedy to get an angle over. Clearly Charlotte was ok with it and Ric was ok wth it, but the mother obviously was not pleased with the death of her son being used as part of an angle.
But then again, a lot of times WWE isn't so tasteful with what they create from scratch either...; Katie Vick.

Think about past feuds that had the most passion to them, they were based on reality!
The simple fact that Paige said that about Charlotte's brother has angered fans, and they want to see Charlotte get her revenge. If Paige would have said, "you are a horrible champion and you shouldn't even be here on Raw" and Charlotte attacked her.... who cares?? That isn't anything that is gonna make people want to invest in the story line.
But you take something real, like Reid's death, and you have Paige say what she did.... that's real. That's emotion. I swear that you wrestling fans sometimes forget what makes a great angle and story line in wrestling.

So it may have been in bad taste, but it did what it was supposed to. Make the fans actually care and watch the divas.

The amount of idiots on social media using the old "people say they want the Attitude Era back" argument is mind numbing. Some people find it in poor taste, others don't. Why can't people just respect the opinions of others and move on?

Good example of using a real life situation for a storyline - CM Punk's 2011 contract situation Bad example of using a real life situation for a storyline - Paige's mention of Reid

That's pretty sick, seemed like Charlotte didn't even want to say it... Went too far IMO.
