I haven't designed a wrestling graphic in at least 8 or 9 years. Had a lot of fun throwing this one together. The last (smallest) star is supposed to land on Dallas as it would on a map of Texas. I know this place is dead but all feedback is welcome! EDIT NEW VERSIONS: original version:

I really dig it for the most part, the only thing I'd play around with are tiny tweaks. For starters I'd probably bring the pics of the wrestlers forward a little bit more. Or at least for taker, have his hat overlap the edge of the outline of Texas as opposed to being cut off, same for the scythe. I'd also either change the pic of sting or make him stand out a little bit more because right now he looks a little too blurry/almost cartoon/drawing like. I think the placement of his pic works, I would just bring it out a little bit more. I'd also find a different font choice for the words and Texas. Or maybe just at least for Texas. Differentiate it a little bit more from the subtext. I also kind of feel like there is too much grey. Maybe use color for the pic of Taker?
But yeah, for the most part I'm really digging this. I love the placement of the stars and the movement of them around the pic of taker. Really nice work.

Lol. Gotta first off start by saying thanks for the great reply! I wanted a very distinct outline of the state of Texas which is why the image of Taker is cut off at the edge line. I might play around with it and see what it would look like if his head/top half was coming out of the top but fear that it will cause it to be too busy in the overall design. The effect on Sting was intentional. I first searched for a render of his face paint style to blend over but settled with tweaking that photo. I may play with that as well to see what it would look like without the effect. I though the simplistic/blended imaged of his face paint lines had a more mysterious feeling playing in the background of the very bold photo of Undertaker. I started out with two different fonts, and had settled on this one for "TEXAS", but wasn't finding too much to work with my font selections. I was happy with it because I changed up the styling of it by going lower case. I feel it keeps it cohesive while distinguishing between the two. Thanks for the reply dude! Love getting good replies on here with real, constructive criticism. I'd love to see this place booming again and maybe even have a GBL. I loved having that back in the early days of this forum.

I edited this with the stars wrapping around Texas. I also added a distinct border around Texas: Here's with a different picture of Sting:

it looks better with the outline, makes it more clear that it was your intention. I feel like the overlap of the taker pic over the edge of texas would still work, even with the outline. I also like the new sting pic but you could always just sharpen the first one a little if you still prefer the original.
no problem about the feedback by the way. I love giving and getting constructive criticism but sometimes I don't know how to word it. The GBLs never seem to hold up very well but I'd be down for one. I feel like this board goes through a lot of long term dry spells in terms of decent/consistent work that gets posted. I don't really post anything because I mostly work with Illustrator now and the vectors i've posted before don't really get much of a response. It seems that match cards are really a big trend on here as of late which I'm not a huge fan of but It's not my place to say what should or shouldn't get posted I guess.
Edit: Actually, tbh now that I look at it I kind of dig it more without the outline. I feel like not only does it give the outline look of Texas but it also gives the overall poster some more depth. Almost as if the shape of Texas is a tear in the background. I think thats why my eyes were sort of more drawn to wanting to see undertaker appear to be coming off the page. Like you said, these are all just little things you can play around with.

One of the better pieces I've seen on here lately. The stars are a nice concept as is the outline of Texas. I even like how you've used the Wrestlemania colours inside the Texas outline. Those colours along with the black and white stars prevent it from becoming too vibrant, in a good way though. I think the stars could do with a little burst behind them to help them pop out a bit more.
Two things I'm not liking though. First is the image used of Taker, simply for the scythe. When I think Wrestlemania, I don't think of cutting grass and / or people. Second is the plain black background. When I'm creating posters like that, I'll look up a high resolution image of the crowd, darken it and blur it.
In regards to fonts that you mentioned above. Its a pain in the ass to find a good one that works. Sometimes a simple font like Arial or Helvetica works the best.
