Am I the only one who thought this was an absolutely terrible match? It was sloppy, made no sense and they looked lost for 90% of the match.
They started off in a brawl/strike fest match, which it should given the circumstances. Then Charlotte goes for a bad looking takedown and it turns into a regular wrestling match like at Survivor Series.
Flair begins to work the arm and is sitting there smiling with a weak arm bar, no aggression whatsoever in her submissions. So Charlotte works her arm and neck all while her main submission is a Figure 4 Leg Lock.
Charlotte and Paige's striking exchanges into the match were just bad. Paige has been very sloppy for a while and Charlotte's selling is atrocious. Its like her dad is telling her not to make her opponents look good on the main roster.
Both of these girls came from NXT and this is the type of crap that goes on the main show? I couldnt help but cringe the entire match. Unfortunately it looks like they arent done yet.

I agree with you. If your finisher is a leg submission, it doesn't make sense for you to workover other parts of the body during the match.

Yeah, it wasn't good. Paige, for whatever reason, appears to have given up in the ring. Charlotte is being exposed. I don't know if that's all on her or what. Something about moving up to the main roster is basically neutering all of these girls.
I always thought Charlotte was the weakest link of the 4 Horsewomen, but now it seems to be evident. She's struggling mightily on the mic, and honestly, not looking very impressive in the ring. They've all lost some, if not most of their magic since moving up, even Sasha. It's quite possible that the divas division is simply not going to change until Vince is out of there. He's not helping, and the girls aren't helping their cause either.
Paige is cutting good promos, Natalya is consistently good in the ring, and Sasha usually makes the most of her TV time. Those are about the only positives you can take away.

I cant argue with a Sasha victory on RAW but god damn, Sasha is the best womens wrestler right now and needs Tamina and Naomi to help her beat Becky in a 4 minute TV match. Yeah "We Want Sasha" meaning we wanna see her go, not look like a chump. Its this heel booking WWE is stuck with, sames with Rollins.

My main gripe is that everything seems disjointed. Like, they had a normal Divas feud and things were going okay.
Then they mentioned Reid and things got "personal". The Survivor Series match was worked like a regular match with no animosity for the most part. They randomly sprinkled in some stiff shots but would then forget about it. Then on Raw, Paige gets her rematch only to purposely win by countout like an idiot. None of it makes sense.
If they absolutely had to go the "personal" route, they should have had the match at the PPV be more personal. You can even keep the finish and do the rematch on Raw. Here, Charlotte should have gotten DQed because she's so pissed at Paige that she can't control herself. Instead of Paige looking an idiot, she looks like a good heel for getting under the skin of the champion. This leads to a No DQ match at the Pay-Per-View. Hell, even give them the stupid "chairs" match at TLC.
There is so much that could be done with the women and especially this feud, but it's all being handled terribly. From creative writing garbage to the producers laying out matches that make no sense to the execution that both women are putting on, it's been so disappointing.

I have to be honest apart from being Ric Flairs daughter I do not get the big deal about Charlotte at all. I find her terrible in the ring and she has zero charisma. All her moves look so damn weak I just cannot buy any match she is in at all. I know a lot of people really like her and I am far from a Diva hardcore fan, but to me she is the weak link of this divas revolution thing I keep hearing about.

We need to put Charlotte in a team with Crowbar and Daffney, trust me it'll work.

I thought it started out pretty good, then it just got sloppy and fell apart. Also their spot calling during the match was really loud at times. But yeah, basically everything Kev said.

This is How Paige vs Charlotte should've been at Survivor Series.

Charlotte always was the weakest link of the 4 horsewomen, but that was because she is the least experienced. Put her in there with someone who can lead well and she'll have a good match. That's what happened when she faced Natalya, Sasha and Bayley in NXT. Paige should be the one taking the lead in these matches because she's the one that has 10 years of experience and she isn't doing that. Charlotte isn't completely blameless when it comes to these bad matches, but because she's the "veteran", I have to give Paige most of the blame.

Honestly I'm not all that concerned with Charlotte and Paige. There is so much women talent in WWE/NXT right now that those two are naturally going to fall down the ranks if WWE ever decides to get their crap together. Bayley, Asuka, Banks, Lynch are the future of this division and when there is only 1 title, all you really need is 4 great contenders. Charlotte, Paige, Nikki, Bliss, Jax are all solid "midcarders" in the women's division to me. To be completely honest though, this divas revolution will never work with 1 or 2 segments a night. There are too many talented women who get left out. I haven't even mentioned Naomi, Daddio, Eva Marie (you never know, she might improve). They either need their own show (doubtful) or they need Smackdown to become very relevant so that they can spread these girls out and give more of them tv time. Getting the call to the main roster is the call of death for women right now.

1) Arn Anderson used the DDT as his finisher. Yet, he would spend a majority of the match working the arm.
2) Lex Luger used the Piledriver and Torture Rack as a finisher. He used armbars.
3) Chris Jericho is the master of the armbar, yet he uses the Liontamer/Walls of Jericho
80s and 90s wrestling saw wrestlers constantly work the arm as it was the easiest to work while maintaining a vertical base. No one went bahzako when 99% of the match was spent torturing the arm only to win with a DDT.
Yes, Flair's finisher is a figure four, but Ric Flair didn't necessary spend the entire match working the legs. It was headlocks, armbars, thumbs to the eye, and low blows before a solitary chop block and knee breaker to hit the figure four.
And, it turned into a brawl. Brawls aren't necessarily the cleanest of clean matches.
I can't wait until Sasha gets her chance. I give it two weeks before we complain.

What I wouldn't mind seeing between these two is a Sullivan vs. Stevie Richards WCW Bathroom Brawl type of match. That was when wrestlers actually had animosity.
