Besides the hair sticking up (which everyone's will have this issue out the pack), my Davey Boy has issues with his legs. The left leg wont go up in front of him hardly at all and seems if forced the little peg will break. If you swing it out to the left it goes up about 3/4 of the way and pops back into place (with a clicking noise) pretty rough (again seeming like its going to snap the joint). His right leg wont go out to the side at all and barely goes forward and quickly snaps down. His left arm is so hard to raise at the shoulder joint it seems like its bending the peg or whatever that joint is. The last thing just seems to happen from time to time with elites but his torso wont stay upright, it just slouches over (loose) These were issues I had with elites early on but as of late I haven't encountered this on any of them. So is this a common issue with your British Bulldogs? Any kind of resolve (that works... Ive tried heating up the leg and moving it around but it really feels like it will snap if i do it too much)?

It's likely made with the same crotch piece as the Legends figure. There were a couple of broken ones on this board. One split right in half.

I went weeks keeping it moc (a oddity for me) and decided it was time to bust it open... Kinda regretting it now. I suppose when they hit retail i could buy another and return as defective if the quality is better. Sucks

Another thing to keep in mind, around this time , COLD weather also is a problem, make sure you properly heat areas that stick or dont bend etc... to ensure it doesnt snap. My Bulldog is fine, awesome figure.

I haven't received mine yet. But whatever problems my Bulldog has he can keep to himself in his box.

Minor paint app issues on his tights and that's it no problems with the torso/abs are tight shoulder are tight but nowhere near as tight as Sycho Sids and his legs/hips move fairly easy on mine.

Well I'm actually quite pleased with the responses guys, thanks. There's hope I will find a decent one at retail.

I'm not opening mine until Xmas but I already can see the hairline paint app is bad. His forehead is a little painted

got mine in the mail tonight and the hip joints are definitely stiff and feel like they will bust if forced to much.

So odd there's such variants to the flaws like that. It must be hard for Mattel to master these issues or by now you'd figure maybe they would have. Sid looks incredible imo. I know there was some complaints about scan or hair color... To me it's a master and a ruler of my Fed!

mine also had the stiff hip joints. heated them up for a minute or so with a hairdryer, and fine since then. this is a great looking figure, one of Mattel's best! don't let fear of stiff joints dissuade you from getting it - just heat them up.

This pic really illustrates how badly MDT needs to resize the classic IC belt. it's ridiculously oversized. cool pic tho re: bulldogs legs and all stiff legs with the old crappy leg/hip situation. heat up the hips/legs for a minute then work em back and forth till they are totally forward/up then sit the figure down in a sitting position with legs out overnight. i think i got it from PJ but it works permanently on all bad joints in my experience. mine also had the stiff hip joints. heated them up for a minute or so with a hairdryer, and fine since then. this is a great looking figure, one of Mattel's best! don't let fear of stiff joints dissuade you from getting it - just heat them up.

I will give it a try. A lot of people have suggested similar to that.

I hate hearing about these paint apps being messed up. I ordered mine from Amazon and hope they end up looking good. I hate spending 20$ having to worry about quality control.

Mine has issues, too. I think it's on the blue side, though. And I think it's because that side is painted, which makes the joints harder to move. I wish they would stop doing that and just cast the mold in a different color plastic.
