Went in to Hot Topic today to look at what they had for pops, and they had STP playing. When I cashed out, I told the guy who it's now kinda sad listening to the music, and we got talking about STP, and he was playing them in the store because of Weiland's passing. Had a good conversation with him about Weiland, STP and rock in general, and they just don't really get the great rock bands like they did in the 90s.

Yeah that sucks I loved STP and Alice in Chains,AIC have the new singer who sounds like Layne but it's really not the same. These guys along with Sound Garden and Pearl Jam were the nails in the coffin of the Glam/hair bands. R.I.P Scott your music was and still is enjoyed by many many fans

Kinda like Brian Johnson after Bon Scott died. Both versions of AC/DC are great, and Johnson has a similar singing voice to Scott, but the Brian Johnson version is not the same as the Bon Scott version. One of the DJs this morning was saying how if you had a Mount Rushmore of 90s rock, those four bands would be the ones on it.

Cripes...died on a tour bus. R.I.P While musically not my cup of tea, there was no denying he was quite talented...'Plush' and 'Sour Girl' stuck out for different reasons... Oh, and 'Vaseline'.

It's sad, RIP.
Not to change the focus but a local radio station did a 90's weekend in honor of Scott. They mostly played STP, Tool, Nirvana, not a single Korn song though. I was so aggravated. I guess we have to wait for people to die before they get some radio play.
