There were 2 HOF Hogans at my Target that were swapped out for Basic Hogans. I went to customer service to tell them about it and the dumbass girl was like, "So do you want to buy these?"....I had to tell her, "No someone bought them and swapped them out. Those arent the right figures"...She was just brain dead and said she'd tell a manager. 3 Days later they were right back on the shelf.

It's becoming a big problem here in Toronto. Not just Toronto, Toronto and the GTA. I live in Oakville, and I came across a Faarooq and Bradshaw at Walmart that were swapped with their old Jakks figures. I took them up to customer service and told them that they were swapped and showed them pics on my phone of what the original figures looked like. The woman at the desk said she'd contact her manager and let him know what was going on. Hopefully they catch the guy. |

Do it again, but go up to guest services and ask to talk to a GSTL (guest service team lead) or AP Team Lead. GSTL is held accountable for everything up front (including returns), and AP Team Lead is in charge of theft for the entire store (which is what this is). If this gets you no where, ask to talk to the STL (store team lead a.k.a. store manager) or hardlines ETL (reports to the store team lead and is responsible for everything minus clothing). All you have to do is explain the difference between basics and elites (maybe bring up a legit elite and show the articulation) and especially the price point of each of them and how they are losing money...they will follow up. |

It almost looked like an error but being a collector myself I knew how they did it. |

My local Wal Mart has had a Elite 33 Jakks JYD on the shelf for 6+ months and I noticed last week an E38 Jakks Farooq joined him there! At one point when Amazon was blowing out JYD's I was tempted to price match and buy the Jakks JYD. Pretty good looking figure actually

The truth is the people we complain to are making 10 bucks an hour and just dont care about ' some dumb dolls'. They say they will handle it to get us out of the way, then its back on the shelves. I know this because i have a second job in retail and my supervisors do the same thing. We have a boppv daniel bryan with both belts missing. I told them they need to look into it but nothinf happened. Yet we have protective devices all over the star wars isle. |

I talked to a manager and AP at a Target... Figures ended up back on the shelf again. I saw the same manager the next day brought it up to him again, he seemed upset they put it back on the shelf. But guess what... 1 day later back front and center on the shelf. There's a person doing this at both the Walmarts and Target here in Queensbury NY. I always bring it up to someones attention at all 3 stores but nothing is clearly being done as they end up back on the shelves. I suppose they are more concerned with big ticket items or something. Theft is theft though. It sucks.

They really should put a picture of the figure on the back of the packaging. If they did, repacking wouldn't be happening because you'd see the figure on the back.

I think the constant reporting about figure swapping on sites like these give them ideas on how to do it. I rarely saw it in stores until I started seeing the countless threads on here, now I see it everywhere.

I pointed out to a target employee that a HOF Yoko had the tag belts missing(and replaced with a single jakks tag belt). He feigned concern and took it to the back but it was back out on the shelf later that week. Collectors won't be fooled, but some kid probably got that as a gift, and they are the real victims.
