Always like seeing your signing reports. HTM sounds like a nice guy from your report. Crowe never really caught my eye in NXT, but seems really cool.

Good story. I don't think he sounds bitter. Heck, by his own admission he could be working for WWE right now. Although I imagine some of this stuff was embellished at least a little.
Real shame to hear about Ivan.

Shane/Dean Douglas sounds like a really cool person, and the story about hanging out with him before the show was great. I agree with him about the chamber too. I hated that Styles was just in there to do spots. It's not surprising that TNA failed because of Dixie Carter. She always seemed stubborn and self-centered.

I met Shane at WrestleCon in New Orleans. I thought he was very down to earth and seemed like a genuine guy. He made an effort to talk to me and acted interested in my responses. He may get heat from some of the guys in the business but he made a hell of a contribution and I respect him for what he did.

Good to hear Shane Douglas was a cool guy. Ive been a fan of him dating back to his 1990-91 WWF run but he always seemed like the kind of guy who wouldve ripped up a picture of him as Dean Douglas if somebody asked him to sign it, LOL.

Never met Shane, but from your story he seems like a down to earth guy. And I do agree with him on the Chamber, it wasn't as good as the older chamber matches and AJ Styles did take a lot of the bumps during the match.

I agree with everybody. Shane Douglas is awesome to meet! Very talkative and friendly. Every wrestler you pay to meet should be like Shane Douglas. Why did he watch elimination chamber if he doesn't like wwe/Vince? That's what I would have asked him.

I always enjoy your reports, Alex. Too often when a fan meets the wrestler they can barely get out a "hi" but with you, you make the most of the moments. I can see you, perhaps, getting involved with a local wrestling indy fed as a commentator or backstage personel you get along with the guys so well. As for Shane, he is a very nice guy. I've talked to him and been around him multiple times, and usually in behind the scenes type situations, outside the ring or arena. He sure plays a different guy in the ring or on the mic or when a crowd is gathering but I don't really see that guy off the screen. What's more, even though he talks as if he has no respect for a lot of guys, he does respect the fans (!!!!} and that is a lot more than a lot of the wrestlers. You can tell some guys do not care about the fans other than the money. Shane would probably talk to a fan all day if they wanted.

Douglas has a point with the sugar glass in the chambers, it'd look so much better than the plastic looking things they have

I met shane last year at any indy event and he was lovely, was last in the line and I think it was a good 5 min chat with him about everything really and he signed all my stuff for nothing which was a real treat. even stood there holding my little girl for a bit as she was getting ratty cos we was talking and she wanted to run off and play haha.
always like you posts about the wrestlers you met tho alex, always a good read.

Thanks for the comments and feedback, everyone. I had that disclaimer in the beginning to make sure that Shane's negative comments didn't cloud your perception of him. Shane was great, like some of you mentioned above, and "down to earth" would be an accurate description of him. He definitely appreciates his fans. Thanks again for reading! Next one should be in two weeks with Jake "The Snake" Roberts!
