Bret Hart and Kelly Kelly Signing Report (10/20/2024)

I'm not sure how rare they are, but the ones for sale online aren't cheap.

I'd love to have a AX LJN, but that's expensive as hell😀

I've had great experiences meeting everyone I have met... Maybe not Lita so much... But Ax and Smash have got to be near the top of the list. They have all the time in the World for you and seem as interested in meeting you as you are meeting them.

I attended the Niagara Falls Comic Con for the third year in a row today.



Scheduled to be there today was Ric Flair, Greg Valentine, Brutus Beefcake, Trish Stratus, and Lita. Big Show would be appearing Saturday only. Of these names, I needed to get Flair, Valentine, and Lita. I wanted to meet Big Show too but felt he was a little too expensive. Honky Tonk Man was also supposed to be at the con, but cancelled months ago. His replacement was Rey Mysterio, who ended up also cancelling.

Doors were to open at 3 and I arrived at about 2:10 to find a decent-sized line. Not short, but not long. About a half hour after, josecalderon arrives and I give him his Demolition figures I had signed for him a few weeks ago. He also had some figures for me, which I intend to get signed later this month (thanks again! Nice seeing you!). A few minutes after 3, the doors open. Security checks our bags and by 3:10, we were in. My priority was Ric Flair, therefore, my plan was to go straight to him and get him out of the way. The NFCC’s website said that pricing for Flair would be $80 each for an autograph or a photo, but when I got to his line, I noticed that they bumped the price up to 90. Right when I got into the con, I joined Ric’s line, who was already out and signing. Most celebrities were not out yet. 20 minutes later, it is my turn to meet him. His girlfriend/wife Wendy aka WCW’s Fifi was handling the money. I asked for two autographs and paid the 180. As I pay, I simply tell Fifi that it is nice to meet her as well. She smiles and thanks me. 90 is a bit much; however, with Ric’s recent health scare, I figured that I should get him while I have the opportunity to. I first shake his hand and tell him that it’s nice to meet him again. He thanks me, and sees that I have a paint marker and asked: “did you have your own pen?”, and I tell him that it is for the action figure. He first signs my encyclopedia. As he signs, I tell him: “it’s great to see you’re doing well”, and he says something along the lines of “me too”, as in he’s glad he’s feeling well.

I then hand him the DM figure, which had a post-it note that said “To Alex” on it. He didn’t see it, and started signing his name. I ask him to make it out to me, and he thinks I said “Alec”. I clarify the spelling and he squeezes my name in the little corner. Not the greatest looking personalization, but I’m happy with it. As he signs the figure, I tell him: “I’ve met your daughter twice and she’s a class act like yourself”. Flair immediately had the biggest smile on his face, while Fifi replied “awwww! That’s so nice!". Flair replied: “I’m so proud of her!”. After that, I shake Ric’s hand again, and thank the both of them.



With Valentine and Lita not out and signing yet, I decide to look around at the vendors. As I do so, I run into josecalderon again, as well as someone I’ve spoken to on twitter before. Meanwhile, I also keep checking the autograph area to see if Valentine or Lita have come out. Valentine soon did, and at about 4:10, I go up to his booth and get him in the three encyclopedia entries I needed. He was $30. He first signed the Dream Team entry, which was already signed Brutus. I then flip over to the New Dream Team entry, which he seemed surprised to see. He pointed at Dino and Johnny V and pointed out how they’re both gone and how tragic it was that Johnny V died in an accident. Valentine said that he found out about the incident a few hours after it happened. Lastly, I had him sign the Rhythm and Blues entry. He looks at the entry and says: “Ah! Honky Tonk!”, then signs. He then says: “Now you just need Jimmy on there!”. I tell him that he’s right, thank him, shake his hand and move on to the side to fix my stuff. Not much of an interaction with Valentine here. He wasn’t overly talkative, but friendly enough. I’ve met him before, so this was expected. To be honest, I just wanted my book signed anyway.



After I was done with Greg, I check for Lita, who wasn’t out yet. I didn’t feel like standing in the line so I sat down on the floor by the entrance in an effort to wait it out. At around 4:45, I decide to check on Lita again and it turns out, she’s out there signing, so I join the line with about 20 people ahead of me. A few minutes later, I see marklud . I try to let him jump the line with me so he didn’t have to go to the back (in fairness, there was only a few people behind me), but the volunteer organizing the line wasn’t having it. It was cool though; we still got to chat nonetheless. Great seeing you again! Lita's line was going quite slowly as she was very talkative towards the fans and took her time with photos. There were instances where fans would get a photo with both Trish and Lita as their booths were right next to each other. (Random note: at around this time, Tim White was roaming the autograph area and spoke to Greg Valentine for a bit. Interesting to see him at the con). At about 5:30, I am only five people away from meeting Lita; however, she and Trish need to leave for their professional photo-ops, but return at around 6:00. The fans in front of me meet her and after 10 minutes, it is finally my turn. I pay the handler, then shake Lita’s hand and tell her “nice to finally meet you!”. She says that it is nice to meet me too and notices my post-it note on the figure that said my name. She asked if I wanted the encyclopedia personalized as well, and I said that I did. I tell her that I missed her Fan Expo appearance in Toronto a few years ago. She replies: “oh yes! Fan Expo”. I continue: “I was out of town so I couldn’t meet you that time.” In response, Lita says something along the lines of that it’s good that she’s here now and “but you had to travel farther for it! I’m sorry!”. I tell her that it’s worth it because I’m a big fan. I first had her sign my encyclopedia, the a Raw Magazine that I had Trish sign last year.



Next, I had her sign my Elite. As she signed, I tell her that it was great to see her in the Rumble this year. She thanks me and says that it was really fun to be a part of it. I ask her: “what was it like working with the younger talent?”. She says that it was interesting to do the Rumble with them because she works with them behind the camera, so it was different to work with them in front of the camera.



After she signs my stuff, she comes out from behind her table and poses for a photo with me. Once the volunteer takes the photo and gives my phone back to me. I check the photo, and Lita does so as well. She did this with every fan. She checked on the photos and if it looks good she’ll say something like: “I like the way it turned out!”. After the photo, I shake her hand and we thank each other. Lita tells me: “nice to finally meet you! Sorry for having to make you work for it!”. I thank her again and tell her that it’s worth the travel to meet her. Lita was super friendly. There was actually a family in front of me with their kid (maybe a one-year-old), who got a photo with Lita. After they did the photo, Lita asked for the phone and did a selfie with herself and the baby. Lita was definitely the coolest of the three I met today.

Great to see you too, man! Next time we'll actually get in one of the lines together, lol. I hope next year things are a little more efficient at this con because the one in Buffalo two weeks ago went much more smoothly for me personally.



Also I'm not sure if I'm gonna do a full write-up cause today was pretty exhausting but I must say that Greg couldn't have been nicer with me and I couldn't get him to stop talking. It's actually the second time this has happened for me with him ... this time he couldn't stop talking about weed, which was hilarious on so many different levels. I must know the key to unlocking his outgoing side or something.

Nice gets Champ!!! Good seeing you again today!!! Nice and spacious today with the moderate crowd.

Those prices for Flair seemed a little steep. When I met him at Wrestle Con this year it was 100 for a photo and auto combo
