*sigh* I knew it was coming. It was inevitable to happen. Roman Reigns was handpicked to be a WWE Champion at some point. But dammit... Why did it have to be so ridiculous? Why did it have to come at the expense of pretty much everyone else? Why did they have to make Sheamus, Rusev, Del Rio, and Barrett all look like absolutely garbage? DO they honestly think this is a good thing for the future of their company? And I don't even hate Reigns. I think he's absolutely the wrong choice to be champion and face of the company, but at least he can put on a good match if working with someone competent. It's this horrible superman booking that ruins it. WWE has made all their top heel look like chumps now. Why should the audience be invested in any Roman Reigns feud when you just got done tell us all how he's basically unbeatable and can run roughshot over half the roster in one night?
The saddest part of it all is that WWE used to be absolutely cutting edge entertainment. They used to be creative and something fans all over the world eagler looked forward to every week, even begging for more at times. And now... How have they fallen so far?
I normally don't believe most ridiculous conspiracy theories spouted online, but I'm absolutely baffled that WWE can keep thinking they're doing things right with the way their presenting their product now. Maybe it's true. Maybe Vince McMahon wants the company to die with him so no one else has the chance to run it better than he did. Nothing happens on WWE TV without his say so, thus the finger of blame has to point at him. I just don't get it.
But, whatever. As I said, it was inevidable that Reigns would win the title at some point soon. The way it happened is awful without a doubt, but maybe now we can get it out of the way. Maybe now ratings will continue to tank with him as champion and maybe that will finally wake the powers that be up and actually change some things.

theyve been building to this for so long, they pretty much had to pull the trigger. sheamus and his cronies were treated like junk for the entire year, putting the strap on him didnt change that... he happened to be plan b after rollins got hurt, and they as a group were put together simply to feed to reigns. there was never a thought in creative's mind of actually trying to get the group over. i didnt even really hate roman going nuts last night and winning the belt tonight.. it was more of a "meh" feeling. ill still watch, but im not really emotionally invested in anything that happens.
and all of that being said... i still hold out hope that they strip reigns next week, put the belt on the line in the rumble, and brock enters number 1 and eliminates all 29 guys to win the belt. but i dont like my chances of that happening.

RAW was great tonight and people still complain.. It's a shame that people have this "WWE SUX" mindset, because this RAW had an amazing hardcore match, less Reigns talk, more punching, it had the magnificent new IC champ and a heel that actually cared about their loss.

Yup. The good news is the company literally will be dead within the next few years of them following this Cena 2.0 pattern. You didn't even watch the show, yet you hated it enough to bash it anyway? Do you not see a movie but still give reviews on IMDB anyhow? Because if you don't watch = your opinion is null & void. Sorry. I didn't need to see the match. Why would I even want to? The end result was Reigns winning like we all knew it would be, and it's a result that completely zapped the final 1% of interest that I still had in the product. If anything happens with Taker, Austin, Rock, Lesnar, etc that's worth watching during Wrestlemania season I might watch those segments alone, but that's it for me until something exciting actually happens, like Ambrose winning the title.

How did this place turn on roman so damn quick? He was the ONLY person since w.m 31 that has been putting on good matches on a CONSISTENT basis Sure his promos have been lacking but this guys in ring work has improved so much since he won the rumble last year its crazy Its definatly his time hell his time was at s.s but by having sheamus cash in they got another month of programming out of it That extra month of programming just happened to be a low point in WWE history, according to ratings and social media. Most of the board has been heavily against Roman's babyface rise since the Rumble win last year, and justifiably so. Until last night, there was no indication he would ever get over as a babyface headliner. He was regressing on the microphone, and was responsible for some of the worst segments of Raw in years. With all that being said, putting the title on him tonight was the right move in context. Simply put, there are no good choices. They stubbornly backed themselves into this corner and we're in too deep to get out of it. Doing the title change on Raw was a hotshot, for sure, but it indicates that Vince had a genuine concern about the ratings as of late, which is important. I very strongly dislike Roman Reigns as a babyface character. I think he's unnatural, condescending, uninteresting and unengaging as a character. I've yet to see a single indication that he has the ability to improve upon that, and therefore, I don't see myself ever getting behind him in this role. With all of that being said, I think he displays the potential to be one of the best heels in years. I wish they were going in that direction, but, it is what it is. Sums up my feelings to a T. I have no reason to like Roman Reigns as a face. Frankly, he acts like a cocky prick.

Sorry. The company isn't dying either lol. Ratings and ticket sales have been in a consistent downward spiral that the company hasn't experienced in 15-20 years. It sure as hell isn't doing well.

I really am interested on where Reigns goes as champion and his WM 32 bout.Do you string out his feud with Triple H until Wrestlemania or have them face each other at the Royal Rumble ? or you could have Reigns really cement himself as "THE MAN" by having him beat John Cena in the main event or even a guy like Taker/Lesnar.Just wonder what would be the biggest match up.
Reigns/Cena Reigns/Brock Reigns/Taker Reigns/Triple H
Honestly I think the biggest possible match up no matter how much the IWC will bitch and complain would be Reigns/Cena and you could throw in Triple H as the special guest referee and possible do the long a waited heel turn of Cena then to really get Roman over as the #1 face.

I respectfully disagree with Roman being the only one putting on consistently good matches. I'd say Cena had as much, if not, more consistently better matches than anybody else this year in WWE. Don't forget Seth. And KO. And Cesaro. Kevin owens wasn't on the main roster so he is out Cesaro has put on great preformaces but overall the matches haven't been consistently good his opponents drag them down And I love Seth and his title run but in ring wise he hasn't been putting consistent good matches since mania

I honestly get a good laugh out of anyone who says they're done after something like this. Whether they really stop watching it not isn't the point, I can just imagine people I only know from a username and avitar throwing temper tantrums. For me, it's not really a temper tantrum. It's more dejection. I really do love wrestling.. and probably always will. But when you see how bad it is these days.. and you compare it with the high of watching UFC, for example.. or watching football (soccer to you Americans).. I just ask myself - what's the point? I feel ya but it's honestly hard to take you seriously based off what I've seen you post about Sheamus. Lol I'm only kidding and Assuming that's a gimmick you've got, as far as "the state of the wwe" I think it sucks. I think it has sucked in most part for a good while. Years actually. I haven't enjoyed a full WWE show except for WrestleMania or Raw 1000 since probably 2007-8. That's just me though. There is horrible sh*t they run weekly and have done so in a lackadaisical manner for years. Even during the mid-2000's and the AE, there were sh*t segments and angles. Hell some of the worst wrestling matches I have ever seen came from wrestling's most popular era. The problem is the complete overexposure. Of the product. The backstage. The politics. Their booking is booty. Straight. Up. Booty. Reigns isn't the solution to all this trash. But he damn sure isn't the problem.

I'm so glad reigns won tonight. It's like a big sucker punch in the face to all the haters and people that have complained for the last year. I laugh at them all. Those people will continue to complain and I know that, but tonight reigns deserved the belt. And you know what's even funnier. There in philly, a mark city which I'm sure having Vince and Roman in the ending segment with him winning made people mad there lol. Let's hear the "I'll never watch again" bs.
Anyway congrats to reigns. Hopefully we get a good run out of it.

Enjoyed Raw tonight. Was cool to see Reigns be over with the crowd. Roman isn't my favorite, but I don't hate him by any means.
Both humored and saddened by the reactions on here, but not gonna get into it. Just gonna keep watching the show and enjoying what I enjoy and disliking what I dislike. I'm not gonna let the WWE 'pushing someone down our throats ' or a bunch of people that would argue with a stop sign, sway my opinion either way.

People love to act like the people who hate on the product are the problem.. but just be honest and look at the ratings. They suck and are constantly decreasing (long before Sheamus was even in the title picture). If Stone Cold was coming into the company today.. do you think he'd have the kind of career now that he actually had? No chance. And that's a major problem.. they're holding their talent back. This is a golden era of talent.. the best ever in my honest opinion. And yet the actual quality of the product is the worst in my lifetime.. things don't add up.

I don't understand what the difference is. If I watched the match then all of my opinions would still be the same. Reigns won in ridiculous fashion the same way Cena has for the past ten years; you've seen one, you've seen 'em all.
