For all of you saying TRU doesn't keep things in the back, I have another story of something else that has happened to me. A few years ago, I was looking for E24, and TRU had none on shelves. I asked an employee, and they said "sorry, everything on shelves is what we have." After that, I asked another employee if they could look, and they actually did go look, and they came out with a fresh case of E24.
That also wasn't five days before Christmas.

There are only a little over five shopping days left until Christmas. They're not hiding stuff in the back just to piss you off. If they get something, it probably goes right out on the floor as soon as someone has time to stock it. This is akin to the "scalper got it" theory as well. If a case is missing the popular toy, it HAD to be a scalper who got to it first. It couldn't be that there are multiple collectors in the area ALL trying to buy the same figure... But Scalpers get to the store when it opens first thing in the morning

True. You are probably right about them actually not having it in the back. I'm just pissed off about not finding HOF 3.

Working customer service for over 3 years has taught me that humanity is doomed and everyone is horrible.
Oh, what were we talking about?....eh....it's just toys. I had a huge collection at one point, but they were nothing more to me than toys. No need to get so hot and bothered. Once you get a job your perspective will change...a lot.

But Scalpers get to the store when it opens first thing in the morning This is true. Scalpers do go to stores first thing in the morning. One of my friends's dad used to be a scalper. He stopped scalping after distribution got better here in Canada, because we used to get very few cases and now we get tons of cases of each elite set, but he revealed to me and my friend some of his "tactics" as he called them. He would call the stores ahead and ask when they were getting a truck. He would mark down the day on his calendar, and go to that store first thing in the morning on that day, so he could get the figures right away. Apparently he made about thousand dollars off of scalping, or so he says, but I think that is B.S.

So in the US the HOF series is Target exclusive, but in Canada they're TRU exclusives?

I have a seasonal job at TRU. All wwe toys are in the shelves, they arent kept in the back because they dont order that many.i told 3 different people just yesterday that we didnt have any of what they wanted in backstock, and was right every time, yet any one of them could have got on here and called me lazy and said i wasnt doing my job. I work trucks, back of house, and stock shelves. If i say it isnt there, it isnt there. This is a good answer, but I see where the op is coming from. When I go to TRU, everything is overflowing the shelves. From old white card basics to the most recent set, you'll find it. I get it too. It does happen. But not nearly as often as people want to believe. And not at all this time of year. This is money time, no point in hiding things now

I can tell you how many of something I have on my shelf.... there are even times I can tell a customer we have ONE of that shirt and its a small.... walk right over to where its at and hand them exactly that. Not everyone that works retail, and gives you answers like this is lazy. There are times im tied up with a customer and some inconsiderate/entitled asshat will butt in and demand to know something, without looking away from the customer im talking to I can tell them where exactly an item is.... " go to the folded band shirts, 3 row from the left 4th shirt down" and it will be right there...... some people work enough and pay enough attention that they can do these things. Because they DO care about their job.

I'd say your biggest issue is probably that they're a Target exclusive?

Also if you scan a figure on the price checker it'll tell you if there's more in the back. Target pushes out EVERYTHING at Christmas time though so it's probably unlikely.

Stockrooms are not magical places where store keep piles of items you're after and refuse to sell them to you. They're mainly used to separate the items once they come off of the truck. To make them easier to putaway. Also to store larger or damaged items that do not belong on the floor. In the case of action figures at Toys R Us you can bet anything that at Christmas time everything is being pushed right to the floor.

Or possibly he knows what he's talking about and didn't want to waste his time on something he knew would be fruitless just to entertain you...

I'll save everyone trouble, nothing is in the back. If they have overstock this time of year it's in the aisle in a box on top of the gondola itself. This is from years of managing a Toys R Us.

I wonder how many more people are gonna respond to continue telling the op the same exact thing about how they don't have anything in the back.
My guess is 50 more by the end of the day?

Ok I'm confused you went to TRU asking for the HOF series 3 when TRU doesn't carry that series it's Target that has the HOF Line.
