I don't think they're actually making figures. Just other pieces of merchandise.
I could be mistaken though, but I believe Mattel has the licence until 2017 or 2019.

They're making figures in Asia, and making kids role play stuff in America. And Mattel's contract is until 2019. I'm actually looking forward to seeing some of the Asian Jakks figures.

I think that if it is cattered to the Japanese audience, the figures would end up much different than the regular ones...hope to see some WWE Mini Big Heads or similar to the Charapro figs

Australia is part of Asia in this regard (I imagine - 'Australasia') so I'll keep an eye out.

Because im pretty sure they straight up said its not figures No, they said action figures for the Asia Pacific region was part of the deal. They will be distributing figures. If anything, probably those 12 figures or rumbler type ones. Im pretty sure bill said, not actual figures like we have now.

The initial announcement does suggest Jakks action figures are a possibility: "The new WWE Jakks toys will hit stores in 2016 and will include products for everyday dress up, role-play, radio control vehicles, seasonal costumes and Jakks' 3D IT Character Creator brand, as well as action figures across the Asia-Pacific region."

If you can point to where bill said that, I'd appreciate it.
