The Jakks 3DIT machine is one of the biggest pieces of crap I have ever wasted my money on. It is 100 percent garbage and has no redeeming qualities what so ever. if you have kids no matter how much they beg, please do not waste your money on this. It will just leave you angry at how bad it is and your kids bitterly disappointed. How something like this can even be released to the mass market is an absolute travesty and who ever said that this was fine for release should hang their head in shame.
Towards the end of the WWE line Jakks just slapped us long time fans in the face with their last 10 or so series so I have extremely low expectations of any of this stuff that they have planned, especially if it is anything to do with thir 3D IT machine.

So you think they're distributing figures made by Mattel? That's possible I guess. If you can point to where bill said that, I'd appreciate it. Just google it. It was never said that they would produce figures. Just distribute. And its ptobably those 12inch and bigger figures. Apart from the fact that Jakks distributing for Mattel makes little sense. Would of thought Mattel has better distribution channels throughout Asia than Jakks?!? It's not been said anywhere it's 12inch or 6inch either. That's what we're waiting to find out.

I've never heard of a toy company distributing toys that they didn't produce themselves. So, I was asking you or anyone else who might be more in the know, is that even a real thing? Is there a precedent for it?

Larger companys, at times will work as distributers for smaller companys. As i said, probably the large 12inch and taller figures or something along the lines.

The twelve inch figs are made by Mattel which is obviously a bigger company than jakks. The 31 inch figs are made by wicked cool toys which was founded by Jeremy (formerly of jakks) so that's a possibility.

It says produce, distribute and sell ... including action figures across the Asia Pacific! Source: forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/325723/jakks-pacific-back-business-wweNo mention of what size the action figures are!

Theres no way mattel would allow another company to make the same style figures. In the original interview thats from, its worded completely different from what ive seen.

What is Jakks 3D IT anyways? Kind of a primitive 3D printing kit. It doesn't actually print anything, but you pump the heated plastic into the mold and it makes generic minifigures, and the kits come with stickers and accessories to make the figure a Turtle/Avenger/etc.

Sideshow distributes Hot Toys (a brand of toy they don't make) for the American market. But that's a big difference. Mattel is an an Über-Corporation. Why they would need a smaller company doesn't make sense.

That press release says they'll be producing figures so it looks like you were wrong but we probably won't know for sure until jakks starts releasing stuff. Maybe at toyfair we'll get some info.

It has become code speak for boy's toys. Nerf Guns are labeled action figure on the master cases. So were Bakugan when that was a thing. Action figure is relegated to a term referring to section of a toy department. At best, I would expect something comparable to those dollar general style figures that Mattel made.

They could be something totally new or something they've done before like build n brawl, ring Giants, max aggression, micro aggression or unmatched fury. Who knows. But that press release clearly says they'll be producing action figures so until I here otherwise, I'll take the word of an official press release over your gut feeling.

They are two articles saying different things and there's no way to know for sure which is accurate right now.

The other article actually predates this one, which ever one is the original report is irrelevant. They are two articles saying different things and there's no way to know for sure which is accurate right now. And the other article I posted was the one posted on WFIGS so would seem credible. Anyway, nobody on this thread knows for sure (although some are keen to shoot things down without any facts) so we continue to wait for a further announcement or Toyfair ...
