I don't get this PPV location obsession... This is the least annoying one.

My thoughts? Stop having PPVs in the same damn places every year. Maybe if you stuck a PPV in a city where a crowd doesnt get a big show there might be some excitement from them during the event. Instead of just having them sit on their hands and tweeting about the event because its the 47th version of TLC that they've seen.

But they've only brought Smackdown for the last 3 years! Since Smackdown has been mostly a throwaway show, I keep hoping each year they'll bring a RAW or a PPV.... but they haven't. Only Live Events & Smackdowns... The smaller town crowds would probably be a lot more excited to get PPV's & Raw's!

It just kills me to know that I have the 10th largest basketball arena in the world 20mins from me (4th largest college, was once the 4th largest in the world before renovating for sky boxes) and the best we can get is Raw or SD. Raw damn near sells out every single time but most people here dont care about SD so they have to tarp the camera side.

Good point, Nivro™. Aside from WrestleMania 31, the last time the WWE had a PPV in the Bay Area was the 2011 Elimination Chamber PPV in Oakland, California. Meanwhile, here are some cities with PPV droughts: Seattle, WA: 2011 Over The LimitPortland, Oregon: 2008 UnforgivenKansas City, MO: 2010 Money In The BankSan Antonio, TX: 2011 VengeanceDenver, CO: 2003 VengeanceJacksonville, FL: 2007 One Night StandCharlotte, NC: 2006 VengeanceWashington, DC: 2011 Capitol PunishmentToronto, ON: 2006 UnforgivenMontreal, QC: 2009 Breaking PointBy contrast, here are the cities that get PPVs every year since 2012: East Rutherford, NJ/Brooklyn, NY2012 No Way Out2012 TLC2013 WrestleMania 292014 Extreme Rules2015 SummerSlam2016 SummerSlamLos Angeles, CA2012 SummerSlam2013 SummerSlam2014 SummerSlam2015 Hell In A CellChicago, IL2012 Extreme Rules2013 Payback2014 Payback2015 Extreme RulesSt. Louis, MO2012 Royal Rumble2012 RAW's 1000th Episode (not a PPV) 2013 Extreme Rules2014 Survivor Series2015 BattlegroundBoston, MA2012 Night Of Champions2013 Survivor Series2014 Money In The Bank2015 TLCThe reason why those five cities get a PPV every year is because they're five of the biggest WWE markets.

I noticed this myself. We've been getting yearly PPVs in. Austin for a few years straight now. We got ed with SSeries 13 and TLC 15 tho. I feel we deserve something good in 2016. I wouldn't even mind waiting til 2017 for a Rumble.

My thoughts? WWE SHOULD HOST A U.K PPV. Takeover starting at 3pm was an awful idea No thanks Agree, and the Network ruined the ending of Joe/Bálor when I was getting home from work to watch it. I selected watch from the beginning, and it still started right when that match was ending. I get why they stick to those cities because it's basically guaranteed money for them. Selfishly I'm annoyed because Louisville hasn't gotten a PPV since Judgement Day 2000, and no TV tapings since the December 6th 2010.

Cody Rhodes DivaIm not even in the Bay Area is the thing. I dont mind the big markets getting events every year. That's smart business. However, there are 7 other months you can put events in other cities. Im just outside of Knoxville, TN...Thompson Boiling Arena holds about 22K (larger then all NBA arenas except for United Center) and even Neyland Stadium which is outdoors for football, holds 102k which is 5th largest in the nation. We've got the spaces to put butts in, give us a reason.

And if they can make the Citrus Bowl look good then they can make Nissan Stadium look good. They could easily get 65-75,000 there. IMO

Like CRD said, with the exception of WM31 Northern CA hasn't had a ppv since Jan. 2011. I don't know why, especially considering the Warriors have been so outstanding, WWE might want to go to their venue.

Unrelated (sort of) but I had a dream the other night that the night before Beast in the East 2016 was "NXT Takeover: Tokyo"

I don't know why, especially considering the Warriors have been so outstanding, WWE might want to go to their venue. Actually, it was February 2011. Even though the Warriors are a top draw in the NBA, WWE events usually don't do very well in Northern California ( WrestleMania 31 was an exception, however). These days, the WWE wants their PPVs to sell out which is why they book PPVs in the same markets. In other words, it all about money.

Maybe if WWE actually produced shows worth drawing, they wouldn't have a problem up here. Not coming here will only drive down attendance more. It is becoming a negative feedback loop for us. I am going to house shows less and less because WWE doesn't give the effort or opportunity to have tapings and PPVs.
