Are you using enamel paints instead of acrylic? That might be the cause of the stickiness.

Yeah it turns out its enamal.
Are the knee pads totally ruined or can i salvage them?

Dude yeah! Man, you should make a megapost and show off all of your old GI Joe stuff! You did like, barb wire and some Japanese stuff right?
It's looking pretty good so far, but it makes me SICK you'd destroy a Tommy Dreamer Mattel figure like that! Haha. Welcome back man.

You can salvage them , boil water peel as much as you can off and scrub , repeat until done , also a little nail polish remover will losen the paint to come off . Then repaint with acrylic paint and a seller . This figure looks great btw , the head looks good . Only thing I see wrong is just clean up the black outlines . |
