To clear up...
Yes there's another thread. This was the Cactus Jack originally planned for Hall of Fame 3, but was scrapped due to contractual issues with Foley
Bill's chimed in on the other thread saying it's not coming out
... and yeah it's a re-release, but it would have been welcomed with open arms from anyone who only started collecting in the last 18 months!

All this over a re-release, if you all really wanted it so bad why didn't you buy it the first time it came out? Some people weren't collectors when it came out the first time around, and it is a bit too expensive for some people.

True to a point, but imagine if they remade every figure because new collectors didn't get a chance to buy it, there's a secondary market for new collectors of anything

I dont blame people for not paying those prices, i blame the ones who do. I hear and inderstand the arguement that something worth what a person is willing to pay for it...but if you are willing to pay some of these prices then you have a serious problem. Not you in particular, just as a general sense. Also, mattel isnt here to please secondary sellers. They are selling for 5, 6, 7, or more times what mattel did. Mattel is 100% right to rerelease and kill that market. I dont care if nobody else or everybody else owns a figure, i Only care if i do. I say rerelease anything you think people will buy. Get them checks mattel!

Get them checks mattel! Mattel isn't here to please just YOU alone, either. Has there been a re-release yet from Mattel that's sold well? People were clamoring for Arn and Tully for years and now Target can't give away the set they come in. The re-release of the SDCC Undertaker is looking like one of the biggest Defining Moments shelfwarmers since the line returned. Basically, I've learned that money talks and BS walks. It's easy for people to say, "I'd totally buy X if it was re-released." A lot of those same people are the ones who either never actually buy it if it's re-released or they wait endlessly until they can find it heavily marked down through a promotion or regular store markdown, rather than paying retail. I don't get the argument that being late to the party entitles you to everything you missed. If the item entices you enough, you'll find a way to get it. It's not anyone else's fault that you (not YOU, just people generally of this thought) either are too broke or cheap to pay the money necessary to get the item you want. I'd love some key classic comic books, but I understand that they are now scarce, and subsequently, have costs that might be too big for me to swallow. That's not anyone's fault.

Also, the secondary market thing is overblown with Mattel. There are some high-priced items out there, but in general, you can still find high quality out of package figures for prices comparable to what an Elite will cost you at retail now.

Mattels not a collector line, so dont expect to have the holy grail of figures forever with mattel, unless the person is no longer under contract.

They said this isn't coming out......it's too bad because it looks great and I know a lot of people don't buy the RSC exclusives, so I'm sure a lot of us don't have a Cactus Jack in our collections.
I have Elite 17 Mankind and the Amazon exclusive Mankind....so Foley is represented in my collection, but I'd love to get a Cactus, a regular Foley, and maybe even a Dude Love at some point, to complete his personas.
Maybe one day.

All this over a re-release, if you all really wanted it so bad why didn't you buy it the first time it came out? I wasnt collecting during its firat appearance. May be the only way to get a jack without shelling out a ton. So im hopeful.
