The end result is also mindless sheep who try to rationalize idiotic booking like what took place tonight. Or the mindless sheep who to try to bash every single thing that the company does, good or bad. Like the ones who constantly only come into WWE threads to be negative. Not true at all. I give the company props when it deserves it; the problem is it doesn't deserve it more times than not. Signing AJ Styles was great, although I'm not sure where he fits in other than the under-card. Owens, Ambrose, Bray and Lesnar are all great talents who are worth watching and should be where the company is focusing its attention. Ambrose, I've said time and time again, is far and away the most complete guy on the roster and should be the top face in the company.

Watching the video of AJ's debut...they really had to keep the camera fixated on Roman rather than on the Titan Tron, didn't they?

Also, for what it's worth, all of these face offs got significantly bigger reactions than the Triple H/Roman staredown:
Triple H/Dean Ambrose Triple H/Bray Wyatt Brock Lesnar/Bray Wyatt Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn Kevin Owens/AJ Styles
So, yeah, at best, the main event of Wrestlemania sits firmly below 5 other matches, including two undercard bouts, on gauges of interest.
Keep listening to your audience, WWE.

Didn't think there was a bad match on the card.
Need to re-watch Owens/Ambrose. I missed some but what I saw was awesome.
Tag titles match was very entertaining. New Day does indeed rock!
I was really pulling for Becky tonight. Would love to have had her win it. But I really liked Sasha coming out too. I had a hunch they were saving Sasha vs Charlotte for closer to WM.
Two best marino13 mark out moments were...
1) Sami Zayn. I LOVE Sami because he reminds me why I love wrestling so much. I hope him getting some revenge on Owens is to set up a main roster feud sooner than later.
2) Ambrose being in the final two. The fact that Ambrose had such a grueling match and then stayed in the Rumble for so long was impressive. If the company didn't believe in him, that never would have happened.

No matter what fans will always be crying for the "up and comers" to be put over and not established stars. Jesus.

The only thing I'll never understand, is why they are putting so much effort into trying to get Roman as that #1 "it guy", literally at the expense of other talent, when they already have guys who are thrice more over than him and have been booked like crap..? It's just maddening. I'm actually a Roman fan, think he has a bright future and all the tools needed, BUT the roster is full of those kinds of guys right now and lots of them seen struggling to get over at all. Ambrose has been a pawn for a solid year and blows Roman out of the water in crowd support. This whole thing shouldn't have to be rocket science, but somehow they continually make things harder on themselves. If the biggest pop of the night comes when your world champion (and #1 face/face of the company) gets eliminated by your supposed #1 heel, then you have some major problems...

absolutely, and THAT is the problem here. its not about triple h and the fact he won the rumble. id be willing to bet triple h doesnt want reigns as the guy. but he doesnt have a choice, and this is wrestling, he's gonna do his job. funny how no one bitched really when Rock got one last "sympathy run"...this is kind of like Triple H's last run too. love or hate the guy deserves it anyway. He'll probably face Ambrose or something at Fastlane for a little tuneup before he puts vince's boy over in the main event of the "biggest wrestlemania ever". For the record, I had a problem with The Rock winning the title too. I feel it did nothing for CM Punk (who was the hottest thing at the time) and it did nothing for John Cena even though they were trying to "pass the torch". The Rumble to me should be about building stars. Triple H is beyond established, that's a given and nothing they're doing is going to build Roman into the star they want him to be. so did i, i absolutely hated it. i hated how they completely destroyed punk for the sake of rock/cena II or whatever it was. such ing bullshit. but again, this time it's about getting reigns over, so they are like " it, put the title on triple h" Reigns is already a 2x WWE champion, closing in on 3. they are going to do absolutely everything they can to get reigns "over"

In the end, tonight was a really fun show in a vacuum.
The problem is that, as fun as tonight was, we know exactly where it's heading, and there is absolutely nothing they can do to make me care about it.

The show as a whole was good and the Rumble match itself was better than it's been in years. That's fine with me. I have nothing to really complain about.

Well yeah, I know. The end result is you spew nonsense much more often than not. We got that already. The end result is also mindless sheep who try to rationalize idiotic booking like what took place tonight. Keep crying. "Wahhhhh! My favorite didn't win" You're just a cynical critic.

I see some are predicting elsewhere that at WM, Roman will bring in Rock & Ronda to even the odds against Triple H, Stephanie, & Vince.
I think they may be onto something. Either that or maybe I just like saying Rock & Ronda because it sounds like "Rockin Robin tweet tweet tweet".

Has anyone noticed how into the Zayn/Owens and Ambrose/Owens feuds the crowd are? I don't want to take anything away from Dean or Zayn because they're both talented as hell and more than carry their weight in these feuds - but I do think this is partly a testament to Kevin Owens' greatness. He truly plays his character well, comes off as generally unlikeable and knows how to rattle the crowd's cage. The guy is special, truly. Also, a quick word on the commentary team: I thought they were absolutely ing dismal this evening. The commentators are an important aid in telling the story that the wrestlers are trying to tell... guiding us on the journey of these wrestlers. These commentators are oblivious to everything and fail to complete their duty of helping to develop the characters. For example, tonight Kevin Owens came into the Rumble and instantly Dean Ambrose and Sami Zayn were the next two entrants. Owens did a great job of selling this like he'd just seen two ghosts one after another. But the commentators didn't pick up on any of this. If JR had have been there he'd have been screaming 'ohmagawd, Owens' has just been through the most hellacious war I've ever seen and now he's probably wishing he didn't enter the Rumble. Ambrose and Zayn, his biggest nemesis'. And then the next night on RAW, Owens would call JR out saying he fears no man and make JR apologise for implying so. Character development, folks. The commentators also left Dean Ambrose biting two different people and raking someone's eyes uncalled. These are moments that show what a lunatic he is but the commentary team don't even feel they are worthy of comment. It's sad to see. tldr: The commentators are horrible at their jobs.

They gotta Do something New And Fresh With The Usos. They just need to switch things up a bit. It's embarrassing that still to this day I can't tell who is who in the ring. And I was embarrassed for them when they was getting boooed because I do belive they are a talented tag team. But it's time for a change.Either turn them heels and let them wear separate attires and give them there own unique movesets like the bella twins. You can't have both do superkicks and flying Usos stuff because it's starting to get old real quickly.

Neither wants what we're getting but you seem to be more accepting of it. (which is ok) Thus tomorrow night Ill be watching Supergirl instead of bother with RAW. In the end lets just keep our fingers crossed for AJ Styles vs Finn Balor for the WWE Title, Owens vs Zayn for the US Title, Ambrose vs Aries for the IC Title, New Day vs Andreson/Gallows for the Tag Titles and Crews, Neville,Gable, Itami, Joe, (healthy) Bryan, Breeze & Nakamura in a MITB match at Mania (ok Im fantasy booking now)

I thought overall it was one of the better Royal Rumble PPV's and matches in years, best Rumble match sense 2010 because their was and actual storyline and sub storylines like AJ debut,Brock/Wyatt,Owens/Zayn...ect that should set up new feuds and matches at Wrestlemania.
I am not saying this in my ideally way of book Wrestlemania I would go a different route but after tonight I think this has a real shot at being the actual card.
WWE Title: Triple H(C)w/Vince McMahon and or Shawn Michaels .Vs Roman Reigns w/The Rock
Brock Lesnar & The Undertaker .Vs The Wyatt Family
IC Title: Dean Ambrose(C) .Vs Chris Jericho
US Title: Kalisto(C) .Vs AJ Styles
WWE Tag Team Titles: The New Day(C) .Vs The League of Nations
Diva's Title: Charlotte w/Ric Flair .Vs Sasha Banks
Kevin Owens .Vs Sami Zayn
Andre the Giant Battle Royal
I think Triple H/Reigns,Brock/Wyatt,Ambrose/Jericho,Charlotte/Banks are basically LOCKS right now for Mania.his leaves Taker and Styles without anything to do,I would love to see a Taker/Styles match up but I just don't think the WWE would go that route so the only other option I see for Taker in a singles match up is against Sheamus to me which would suck ass with Sheamus clearly not being a real threat or in Taker's league. Also don't think the fans would really by into a Taker/Sheamus feud and match thats why I am leaning towards a Taker/Brock .Vs Wyatt Family match. It make some sense with Taker having history with both and his last few matches and feuds being again with both.I would be interesting if Brock can't over come the odds of the Wyatt Family and even being THE BEAST need help going up against the four of them and having Taker return to help one of his biggest rivals and enemies would be very interesting.
