They should have had Cody win MITB instead of Sandow two years ago.....especially after they just wasted it on a failed Cash In on Cena anyway.

I won't say that I 'like' Stardust but he's totally wasted. He and the Ascension should have dominated.

Haha. WWE Creative.
If it's true that there's no interest.. then the only reason could be that you've repackaged the guy about 5-6 times over a matter of years and never once made him seem relevant or give him any kind of character development.
Cody's grotesque/dashing phase was actually hugely entertaining when he got the mic (although, as per usual, they gave him no storylines to work with). The mid-card needs more guys like him.
I guess there's 'no interest' in anything but Roman Reigns.

If anyone needs a little help seeing some Charisma in Cody, watch some old episodes of the JBL and Cole show, Cody was insanely funny. That is if Cody hasn't shown his charisma with Dashing, Un-Dashing aswell for that matter. I almost forgot to mention that he got a mustache over, A mustache. If someone backstage sincerely thinks Cody generates no interest from fans, they might need to leave the business. Agreed. Not only is he talented in the ring, but does have some great personality and charisma when allowed to show it. Again, this just shows how out of touch and bad WWE will continue to be with the current regime in place.

Cody still likes kayfabe and he likes trolling. I'd say his tweet means nothing except that a return as Cody has crossed his mind.
That aside, I'm still a fan. IMO, there's no reason for him to become Cody again if he's just gonna be a jobber. As long as he's just losing week in and week out, he should be Stardust. Once they get a clue and decide to do something serious with him, he should go back to being Cody.

It would not shock me if "Cody" was a surprise entrant in the Rumble.

Stardust and The Ascension could've been a MAJOR heel stable. I am still 100% behind Stardust as a character and Stardust with The Ascension.

I'm behind Stardust 100%. The character works awesomely face or heel. I think he could be really popular with the kids if they turned him face.
A few years ago we all complained about how everyone looked the same and wore trunks, Stardust stands out looks wise and character wise, and I love it.
Besides, after Bowie passing, I don't want to see him change ever again.

Stardust isn't going anywhere, neither is Cody Rhodes. Mid card character no matter what spin you put on it.

I think Cody Rhodes is a great wrestler. How about he goes back to his old look, but have WWE call him "Stardust" Cody Rhodes or "The Stardust" Cody Rhodes That way he can still use the Stardust entrance music and video, and loose the body suit and face paint. But that is just my opinion.

Okay.
Here's what I think could salvage two crapsituations at once. Have Stardust enter the Rumble early and get eliminated immediately. Have Cody come out and put on a hell of a showing eliminating 7 or 8 people, including both members of The Ascension. The following Monday on Raw, have Cody come out and cut a promo saying how WWE has no interest in him, but that's too bad. Lights go out. When the come back on The Ascension are in the ring and attack Cody, leaving him laying. Lights go out. When they come back on, the Wyatts are surrounding Cody. Bray cuts a promo offering Cody the acceptance he seeks. The Wyatts the carry Cody to the back. Over the next few weeks a newly-bearded Cody (cuz we all know he rocks a 'stache) and his new Wyatt brethren start a hardcore rivalry with The Ascension.
This would hopefully bring Cody back as an interesting, compelling character and it would take The Ascension out of the "comedy jobber tag team" category.
Just my opinion...

Hey what do you know. ..Stardust jobs to Titus again. Am I watching last week's raw or this weeks? I've been obsessed with wrestling since I was 2 years old (30 years now). It's been really frustrating watching WWE. Not just because of Stardust but because of how almost every talent is booked. Ugh

Not salty since it's untrue. Just figured I'd say it. You usually say the same thing in any topic about Cody Rhodes. It's like the same 5-10 posts recycled in most threads actually. Yes, I apologise for not saying different things in each of the 3000 "bring back Boring Cody Rhodes" threads that have been posted -- but the whole "inb4 opinions that make me salty" routine you're throwing into threads lately isn't particularly groundbreaking either. Just like the Boring Cody Rhodeth gimmick, hence WWE being in no rush to bring it back. What would it offer that the likes of Ziggler, Neville, Cesaro, Swagger etc aren't? The Boring Cody gimmick that fails every time in the big leagues would definitely warrant a world title push in TNA though, for what that's worth. Now watch those sodium levels On a more interesting Cody Rhodes subject, I was reading an old PWTorch Q&A yesterday (from 2011 or so) that had a Cody Rhodes question. It was a weird theory about Triple H burying him because of a grudge against second generation wrestlers, and it ended with "Your thoughts?" I popped for the catchphrase even though the asker hadn't used her Wfigs username. O NO U DIDN'T!

They should make the most of Stardust and The Ascension. The gimmicks mash really well together and there could be money there if they're booked right.
