I can't even probably articulate how sad I am about this right now.
RIP and thank you for the music.

I had no idea he was ill. So sad. Just when I thought 2015 ended terribly with Lemmy passing away, 2016 begins with another icon passing. Here are a couple of forgotten songs that I loved.

This cuts pretty deep. He gave so much to us. Rest in Power Bowie.

God. Dammit.
RIP. Please come up with an invention for immortality before any more great musicians bite it.

First Lemmy, now Bowie. Really sad, but we'll always remember the influence and impact he had on the media. I never knew he was ill either.

Weiland, Lemmy and Bowie, all within the span of just over a month. Just sad. I feel like I'm at such a weird age where all these icons of my youth are starting to pass away one right after the other and it totally sucks.

This is a crying shame that we lost such a legend. But I take solace in knowing he will live forever with his music.
Though he has had many great songs I LOVE this...

"If you're sad today, just remember the world is over 4 billion years old and you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie."

I hate growing older and finding the ones who shaped my experience as a human being dying off in increasing numbers. It was a rough year last year and this one is off to a rough start, too. RIP Bowie, you entertained as an actor and musician.

He was among the greatest artists ever. His first hit single came out in 1969 and had been an ever evolving musician till his dying day. I can't think of many artists that were able to stay current through multiple generations while remaining entirely timeless. He was in a class unto himself. His life and career deserve to be celebrated, so do yourself and the world a favor and listen to Bowie today.
