I actually think the new belt without the plates is better. Although it's not shiny I think it looks cooler.

Old belt with plates. Then again, I'm an okdschool guy, so its kinda throwback for me to be all one piece.

I prefer the older belt which has the flat-topped mountain peak.

New belt only because it just looks better on the waist of a figure. The old belts' plates would make the belt stick out from a figure's waist, the new one doesn't.

I have a gut feeling that they're bringing the plated one back.

New belt because it fits better, but that's my opinion!

I have a gut feeling that they're bringing the plated one back. I hope that your gut feeling is correct

I like the New belts better because it doesn't make the belt poke out of the figure. That truly makes it strange to look it and when is thrown at the floor is not flat like in real life.

I love the new belts. They have great feel to them and they fit the figures well. Now granted I wish the gold was more metallic but either way I love it. The original Jakks BCA belts were molded. I loved it then, I love it now. I also appreciate the old belts as well, my only gripe with then is that they fit a little awkward at times but they also can look incredible when done right.

Eh. Doesn't really matter to me. I only touch them once or twice and look at them from a distance.

Not gonna lie, if they shine the paint up, I think I like the non plated belt. The title that came with Seth has turned me

I personally didn't even like the old one. It VAC version didn't even really look like the real life counterpart. Of which, I actually liked despite it being a non-traditional championship design. The sideplates were spaced wrong, the size of the belt wasn't correct, the main plate looked cheap with the black paint and wrong amounts of red, and overall it was just poor. The new flat version isn't shiny enough, the sideplates still don't seem to be spaced correctly, and it still has a weird paint job on the main plate.
I don't even care if they fix it. I've adopted the Big Gold design as my fed's world title. I do hope for the sake of collectors they get a version of the modern title that works for everyone. It's a nice looking belt at times in real life. They got the Spinner correct, so I know Mattel can pump out a good Network Title.

One thing I like about the new belts over the old ones is that the new ones can't lose any plates to bad quality control, I've had a handful where I have to return a really cool and sometimes difficult to find figure, all because the side plates were missing.
Still voted for the old style, the shine rules(unless it turns silver).
