F@@@ing love it!!!!
Jakks playsets > Mattel. Glad you got out the slime. What was that stuff called again?
Anyway, great collection, great pics, and props for being a TTL fan. I still think TTL figures are awesome. My first wrestling toys that I was actually really proud of were my Toybiz WCW figures and my Jakks TTLs. The scans on a lot of those TTL figures are still the best ever captured. Jakks was on fire.

@wwfundisputedchamp best present ever as a child, not going anywhere my friend :') i remember each scuff and dent in that thing xD DEFINITELY the best playset for arenas, the later RA era raw arena was a blow out and the mattel ones alright, although RSC is far superior for barricades, fun fact im using the doube long pieces from the raw set with the mva set just for stability haha and gives me more short ones for the stage area. Gone. everyone did mate xD i used to give him different colour shirts too as a kid haha poindizzle MATE! i have a wcw toybiz collection in the loft, ill post pics tomorrow in the others board !! cheers for the reminder

TTL are always going to be awesome IMO love the playsets, the accessories they had, and figures! Nice display and collection. BTW love the title for this thread always enjoyed reading that on the back of Jakks packaging.

Saw some of your set up in the arena thread. Great collection! Seeing all of it makes me wonder how many TTL's I destroyed making RA customs. I mean, I stand by my Lance Storm decision, as it was way better than Jakks...but man. I'm really regretting giving away some of my rings and sh*t seeing that. I'm gonna have to make a trip and get into storage and pull my old stuff out.
Phenomenal collection man, threads like this are what this board's all about.

oh yeah i have ttl storm on the way and a bunch of bcs's, the aim of the collection is one ttl of every guy in wwf 97-02 era i mean ive made val and richards customs if you spot them, done part swaps like the ABA taker, the crowd is my extra guys/alt gear/street gear, the ones on my floor is the main "roster" also i believe quoting an old thread of mine i just found will fill in some gaps, apparently this update is 4 years in the making, haha Ok so i had to get all my old stuff down from the loft and sort it all out, while doing this i felt a little nostalgia kick coming on thought id share all these with you credit the background pic to: the warsman Notes: the posts between the Elimination chamber and hardcore ring i swapped over, and the barrels did not come with the trax west. First up, the old cardboard raw set, many other designs to this including a more modern raw and many WM versions. interchangable tron pieces aswell. Good set, looks great but wear and tear WILL decrease it long term life but its held up for me through all these years ;D Secondly the SmackDown! fist stage, (moc pic later) good stage, rather small i must say and the life of the dome is rather short lived in my opinion but it looks great! although the shinny stickers wear off over time. the lack of a long ramp really makes this fall short, and fall over. Also the RawIsWar Titantron! great set, long lasting and a terrific playset. Music samples are good, little muffled because of the loudness of it, (volume switch would increase it greatly!) in need of the other banner connector if you have a spare, The TrashTalkin' Stage is also a nice one giving you great interaction with your figure, this is one reason why i loved the TTL figures because they gave life to your playing Backstage assault is a lovely playset many features and plenty of sound effects ;D even a flushable toilet in need of the soda machine, i regret selling it and had no money when a local shop had it and when i did have money, its gone Traxwest W/ exclusive tough enough al snow, the cardboard really does wear on the end of this but its a great display piece and a rest from the crashing of other sets! but when thing get bad!! ....... hell can break loose! Also a missisippi river rematch! The ring of poison/termoil are lovely rings, the accessory sets and grapple gears were a fine point on wwf toy history! the many skirts and ropes you got were a great feel to the ring, the cages you got were some of the best, this one i wish was the hell in a cell previewed but it still kick a$$! Id love to own the storage ring too one day! METAL VENGEANCE ARENA!!! Best set ive ever seen, i still have the barriacades in another box somewhere, but i also regret selling the mat i wish to fing again one day, sound on it were great, and the steel posts are a nice novelty/house show feel. never had it count 1-2-3 but i dont know if that was only for the other sets. Elimination chamber is a really flimsy set, and breaks far too easy, not meant for rough play, only 2 cells, and even the rsr version they werent in the correct places. overall a crappy set and ony a novelty display piece. great fun though ;D ****more to come

I'll repeat: Mattel may make really nice figures, but the playsets are a major downgrade. They lack paint and detail and they don't fire the imagination. Of course neither has the product on TV for years if I'm being honest.
Seeing pics of the packages has been flooding my mind with memories. Wrestling was such a big part of growing up. It's hard to explain the impact of the attitude era to those who didn't grow up with it. We were at a nexus of barriers breaking on TV. South Park and Monday Night Raw, among other programs, were like contraband in my somewhat conservative household. And definitely ECW when it came on TNN. Not a big deal at all to kids now who can watch disembowlments being actually shown on Walking Dead in primetime, but twenty or so years ago? Man.....
I want to go on a TTL spree now. Two years ago at the Heroes Con comic convention there was a booth with more than 100 TTLs in package. Kind of pricy, so I only bought a few. Wish I had had more money. Haven't seen a boon like that in person since then.

I'll have a bedroom for an arena set up. It's steal real to me dammit.
