Never liked the gimmick, it was derivative of Goldust and derivative gimmicks never do much for me. I remember when he gave that great performance at Mitb 13', I loved the vibe he had and I wished at the time they gave him a singles push as Cody, he deserves it. I'd like to see something in that vein

He was slightly interesting as Dashing Cody Rhodes. But I don't think I'll ever take the guy seriously. Rody vs. Matt Hardy 2016.

Thank God!!!!! I was so getting sick of Goldust jr. Maybe now he will come up with something a little more unique and entertaining. I loved him with the mustache and teaming with Sandow. Why they put an end to such great things is beyond me. I think it was a bit more than just Goldust Jr.   Thats touching and all, and it explains the name ...but it doesn't take away from the fact that he wore the same full body outfit and face paint and very similar way of talking as his brother. Stardust didn't have to be just like goldust, he could have done something more unique. Props for commitment to it though. |

I don't think this means that the Stardust gimmick is just going to be written off with no explanation or storyline behind it. That would be incredibly stupid to do just by having him state it on Twitter. It could be a new twist or something to the character. I guess we'll see. I really was never a fan of Cody Rhodes with the exception of his tag team run with Goldust. Growing a mustache and running a comb through it doesn't qualify as a gimmick to me.

I kinda liked Stardust. Cody really ran with it and made it work as best as he could.
