It came like that. The right foot was also broken, but all that was wrong with it was the bottom wasn't glued to the foot.

well...they glue those shut. So superglue I'm afraid that won't work. It will not push back together or pry apart.

Put glue in there, wrap a towel around the other side of it, get some pliers and force it shut. I've had to do it to a few torso swaps I've done.

No, that didn't ruin the figure..... you ruined the figure. As stated, I've done this MULTIPLE times to reseal figures I've torso swapped. This was honestly a very easy fix, but best of luck with any other minor issues you have with future figures.

Must be the reason it was split in the first place then because I barely applied any pressure to it. Somethings lodged in it from the factory it seems.

I'm going to have to be extremely careful finding one too, but that's because this one had two major issues right out of the box. Not to mention it was the only one out of the bunch we found with good paint apps the day we got it.

I don't condone repacking and returning but, in this case it wasn't your fault. I would've put that sucker back in the box along with the accessories and done an exchange or return.

Nah then someone else would be disappointed with it. Quality control on Mattel stuff is getting awful. Hopefully I can find another one soon.

If i wasn't comfortable trying to fix it I would just have taken it back as is for a new one and showed them where it was defective. How is it ruined now? What happened when you tried to fix it?

Take it back, they won't resell it, they will return it to their supplier as faulty. You get your money back. everyone wins.

I'm willing to be he didn't attempt to glue it, or at least not carefully. Glue wouldn't ruin a figure, if it was applied correctly with caution. As that's all that's really holding them together in the first place. The pegs and glue.

Haven't you read the MANY stories on here about how the returned figures/re packs get PUT BACK by the employees?! This guy should give himself a pat on the back for thinking far enough to know what will happen. @doobie2650 first off you're awesome for not giving another customer the same headache. Also try and get a loose on off eBay, that's what I did because every single one (out of like 8 or so) had horrible paint apps so I refused to buy any at TRU. I looked at loose ones on eBay and found one that the paint apps were almost perfect. Best of luck bro

If I'm taking something back, where I've done a switch , do I a) tell them there was something wrong with the item, alerting them to the fact b) tell them it's an unwanted gift, giving the impression its fine to resell. Why would doobie have to repack it if it's broken? He isn't conning them, he is exercising his consumer rights. Take it back, outside the box, show it is broken. What are they going to do, repack that and sell it? Unbelievable.....

Mattel would probably want you to take it back if it was broken anyway. just rip the box open like every child opens toys. so you don't upset people on here. stick it back in the box so it looks like you have just opened it. always take the box with you. it backs up your story when you say you have just opened it
