If i wasn't comfortable trying to fix it I would just have taken it back as is for a new one and showed them where it was defective. How is it ruined now? What happened when you tried to fix it? Whatever is lodged inside it was pushing through the torso after very light pressure. It's definitely a factory error.

Nah then someone else would be disappointed with it. Quality control on Mattel stuff is getting awful. Hopefully I can find another one soon. What planet are you living on?!?! Take it back, they won't resell it, they will return it to their supplier as faulty. You get your money back. everyone wins. The store I would have been returning it to definitely would have resold it. I worked there through the holidays so few times, and the manager there is a psychopath.

I'm willing to be he didn't attempt to glue it, or at least not carefully. Glue wouldn't ruin a figure, if it was applied correctly with caution. As that's all that's really holding them together in the first place. The pegs and glue. Yeah that was the plan. Whatever's lodged in there was pushing through with light pressure. No glue ever touched the figure.

Haven't you read the MANY stories on here about how the returned figures/re packs get PUT BACK by the employees?! This guy should give himself a pat on the back for thinking far enough to know what will happen. @doobie2650 first off you're awesome for not giving another customer the same headache. Also try and get a loose on off eBay, that's what I did because every single one (out of like 8 or so) had horrible paint apps so I refused to buy any at TRU. I looked at loose ones on eBay and found one that the paint apps were almost perfect. Best of luck bro That's what I'm going to do. I'll find one around here somewhere or one on eBay. The tru is an hour away where I live now, and the manager is absolutely nuts so she would have resold it.

If you say you don't want it any more or someone purchased it by mistake. They would put it back on the shelf. That's what people say when they do a swap. but if it is broken. Then it will go back to the supplier. if you don't take it back you are a muppet . you have rights. when buying for god sake.

If I'm taking something back, where I've done a switch , do I a) tell them there was something wrong with the item, alerting them to the fact b) tell them it's an unwanted gift, giving the impression its fine to resell. Why would doobie have to repack it if it's broken? He isn't conning them, he is exercising his consumer rights. Take it back, outside the box, show it is broken. What are they going to do, repack that and sell it? Unbelievable..... What's "unbelievable" is that you really can't grasp reality. If it was that simple I think he would have returned it. What don't you understand about employees really not caring about what the reason for returning an item. They just nod their head and throw it in the return basket/cart then at the end of the day put it back on the shelf. But to make you understand more, here's this... I worked for this woman. She will resale it. I've watched her tape things up and put it right back on the shelf. Broken and rattling in the package.

I worked there during the holidays a few years in a row while going to school the first time. She's still the manager, and she would tape it up and likely leave it at customer service discounted. Some cheapskate parent would buy it and some unlucky kid would wind up disappointed with a figure that already had problems standing up because of the foot issue, and the torso issue as well. I think I've found another one as is from the classifieds here also.

In England, they would get their money back from the supplier.

So that was no low blow to me It's more often than not that it happens pretty much everywhere no matter where you live, it matters on who you are as a person and if you would do the right thing or not, go by the rules or against them. If you get great non-flaw service like that in your area or country, consider yourself lucky, but just keep in mind that not everywhere else is as perfect as your world. We're just going by experience here.

Let's say I wanted to put an galoob wcw figure in the package Rollins came in. As for the accessories I could add a cigarette lighter and a piece of paper that has "briefcase" written on it. This woman would put it on the shelf or customer service counter and try to get every person she spoke to that day to buy it from her for a "discounted" price. The things I saw that woman do were ridiculous. It's all about making a buck to them. Despite how the customer feels about the product.

For two did you read the part where I said I used to work there and I've seen first hand the woman who runs the store do those types of things..

However, that store seems to be an exception to the rule. There's another one about 45 minutes away from it that is much better. Just a long drive to get there. I honestly try to stay out of either of them thought because of my experience working with TRU.
