Match 1 - Tibbs

CustomKenny - I like the paint job on the tights, but its just too simple. The head doesn't even look right to me.

Tibbs - Your sculpting is a little too thick in places and not real looking enough in others. However the effort put into this is vast. I like your attempt at a posed custom and the paint job appears to be really good except for a few spots.

Nydream - I can see you put a lot of work into this custom. Looks like you even stripped paint off the back side or painted over on the backside, however it doesn't look like it was fully coated. I like the tight design. It's a little shakey, and I can see where it looks like you had to paint it multiple times due to the paint thickness. The head is iffy, I'm just not feeling it. You're improvement is vast and noticeable. I see you going places, just keep at it. I just don't think its enough to top Tibbs this time.


Match 2 - JPD

JPD - I love the head on this figure. It looks almost identical to him and works well with the ol has bro. The paint looks a little thick in places, but is otherwise done well. The head on this figure is what sways me.

Texacide - You know I love your customs, but I just couldn't give it to you on this one. The head just isn't catching for me. I think its mainly the hair. The hair looks lopsidded, maybe that was the intent, and maybe it'd look better with different pics. Your paint job is phenominal once again.


Match 3 - Import and Stunner

Stunner - I really love the paint job on the singlet, its clean and crisp. I really like the sculpting on the hair and the goatee work. However the head itself just doesn't work. I like how you kept it to the skintone of the TNA figures, but I would have liked to see you do the full skintone. My biggest complaint is the accuracy of the singlet. His singlet should come down midway to his stomach. I know this was a rushed job with your incident, and I hope to see your other one soon.

Import - You just blew the competition away with this one. Honestly you could put your Buff up against both of the competitions customs and still win. Sculpting is nice and smooth, paint job is phenominal. I feel the head works nicely and I really like how you combined two heads again, you've mastered this technique.

WWE4ever- Your tight design is clean and works. I don't like the head at all. Everything on it just doesn't fit. First off it looks way too small. The sculpting and painting looks too rushed and choppy. Kneepads are very lumpy and poorly painted around the skintone.

TCKDeen - Your Storm is nicely done. The sculpting on it looks great. Paint job is great except around the kneepads, it could be much cleaner there. I don't like the hair either, I see the wet look you were going for, however the hair just seems too flat to me. Great job overall.

Great job all who participated. Vast improvements all the way around. This board is pushing itself to its limits and then some and I like it. I'm glad I came back, we're bringing back the edge we had back in the day.

Import, you forgot the most important rule of posed customs...don't use RA figures.

import's right, the text on the palm tree was very rushed.. i took my time on the whole custom and ended up having to rush through the tights.. i was bummed.

for the first match, im going to go with tibbs' hogan. SO creative, a little humorous, and very nice/smooth sculpting. painting looks good too.

and for the tag titles match, im going with stunner and import, both customs came out amazing. the buff looks a bit weird to me in some places, but nonetheless, good work. deen and wwe4ever did great work too, i like deen's a lot actually, wwe4ever, urs isnt bad, but i feel as though u could do better.

and texacide, i love ur custom, so smooth and i actually do like the head choice. duno y everybody doesnt...

for me it was because this is what nails looked like
a modded bald kane head might've been a better choice

u know the first match is a three way, and my samu is against texacide's nailz, right?

Umm, I kind of messed up and didn't let the judges know. I am going to try to get the judges to at least vote on the tag titles, hopefully the whole thing. Sorry guys, major screw up on my part.

I know there's set judges and everything, but i thought it, i might aswell share my thoughts.


nydream989's Super Crazy for me.

The Sabin, has fairly nicen designs on the shorts and fairly straight lines, quite impressed in that respect. The head scan is miles off and really puts me off the figure entirely though. I admire the attempt to mod the torso too, looks nice, but not quite on the money. Nice custom til your eyes hit the head.

The Hogan, i don't get it. Maybe i've missed a picture of him like this. I ike the Italic lettering on the top of the t-shirt and i like the bumbag/fanny pack and the pockets on the shorts. The big let down for me is the knees. They look like they're cancerous, like he has tumours in there. lol The painting looks a little lumpy too. Really like the little money bags, i want loads of em!! lol

The Supercrazy wins for me because it's just the most acurate. The lines in the painting aren't phenominal, but in the slightly further away picture, they look clear as a bell. You can see the patches of black that haven't been painted, so maybe going over all the blakc areas with black paint might benefit the figure. But for me, this is just the most accurate, nice looking figure.



Next match:

JPD's Samu for me.

This is clearly the winner for me, because everything just looks right on the figure for me. The head choice is good, the torso choice is perfect. The painting looks nice and clean. The lettering isn't great, but lettering is a ing bastard to do, so i can't blame it. To me, it's damn good lettering, knowing how hard it is. Tongue is the only thing that i don't really like. I see what ya going for, but to me it just seems a little big. Although i remember a WWF magazine cover that had the Headshrinkers eating a raw Red Snapper and to me, is you'd said this was him with a mouth full of raw Red Snapper, i'd believe it and love it!! lol

The Nailz is a fair custom. I really don't like the head choice. As mentioned previously, bald Kane or maybe even an austin would be a better choice. But i think you've done the head from the Hasbro, not from a pic, so in that respect i suppose its a good likeness, just not to the man himself. The lettering is fantastically accurate. I love it. If the head had been better, then this would have been my winner, but to me, the head is really the most important part of a figure, it's the most recognisable part of any person.

This match was a close call though.

The Tag Match-

I'd have to give my vote to The Riot Squad.

I'm not amazed or in love with the Norton, althought in all fairness to Stunner 619, i think that is less his fault and more my disliking for the hideous Toybiz leg join. lol The singlet is A-Mazing!! Not crazy about the head choice, it's phenominal work on the hair and Goatee. Just something about the mouth. Maybe the fact its the TNA Angle's gumshield mouth.....i dunno....just not 100%.
The Buff is phenominal too. I just wish the arms were not fixed. Something doesnt work about molding the oversized RA arms in place. The rest of the figure is ing spectacular though. Again the designs (Brickwork) is fantastic. Loving the boot choice, it just works. Slightly disapointed by the lack of Hat though. lol

Chris Harris just doesnt work for me. I think all the right choice have been made, but it's just not been executed right. I think it could be a very good headchoice, but the painting and moustache isn't right. Similarly the torso modding, it's the right idea, but it needs considerable smoothing/sanding down mainly around the back and maybe a bit more difinition just down the central belly. Quite like the AMW lettering on the back, although it could do with being a bit more centralised, but i've been there when you start lettering and come to realise it should have been further 1 way or the other, ing annoying. lol Not liking the wildcat lettering, but again, lettering is a rediculously hard thing and i admire anyone that tries it.
James Storm i ing love this figure!! It works, it looks right, the lettering it awesome!! Loving the sculpted pads, the torso modding, love it all. The only critism i could have, is the painting could be a little better. Can see paint on the pads and a little torso paint spilling out onto the trunks. Apart from that, it's ing great!! Sadly on this occasion the Chris Harris meant i couldn't give this figure what it deserved, because on another day, this figure could quite easily win a match in my opinion.

Anyway, that's my thoughts. lol
