what a horrible day. Dave Mirra, and now Axl Rotten. I hadn't heard about Dave Mirra. Suicide. Wow. I don't know what to say. Do you think it was all the concussions? It's hard to call in a suicide. Not even the web sites have close to any details on it

RIP. I remember one match in particular of his. It was him vs. Balls Mahoney in the late summer of 1999, It was a hidden gem if you like hardcore classics. I remember them bleeding like stuck pigs.

This sucks. First Mirra and now Axl. Last year, I was listening to Jericho's podcast, and to hear about Axl being paralyzed killed me. Drug use aside, no one deserves that. He was a fun wrestler to watch. Although he turned to hardcore, I saw more than that in him in the 90's. Atleast a Raven esque gimmick would have worked. RIP Axl.

That's very sad to hear. Especially at only 44.
That being said, I'm going to move this to the classic board.

Not even the web sites have close to any details on it I saw some headlines on my Bing homepage that were calling it a suicide. I didn't want to read the articles. Honestly, I don't want to know.

So weird he just tweeted like 3 hours ago, I follow him on Twitter.
Twitters weird like that, who would think a post you make earlier in the day will be used later that same day as a wall for condolences due to your passing.
He seemed like a nice guy, that's sad to hear

I had the pleasure of meeting Axl several times back in the 90s. I did occasional work for Ian Rotten back in the day with promoter Jeff Osbourne and got to talk with him multiple times. Picking his brain and hearing road stories. He was VERY smart about the business. Despite his leanings to hardcore wrestling, he knew and understood basic booking and was quite creative. I always hoped he would land a job in that capacity somewhere. He could have contributed immensely. I guess his demons got the best of him. Damn.....R.I.P. Axl......gone way too early my friend.

R.I.P.
I remember the Axl vs Ian wars from the mid-90's ( It actually got voted PWI Feud of the Year), and then his team with Balls was always entertaining. Sorry to hear about this.

wow, first time hearing of this sad news now. I had recently seen axl's video asking fans to help fund money for his back surgery. I thought then that things looked very bleak.
was entertaining, and clearly worked really hard. sad that he didn't get more for his sacrifices. sad that addiction most likely got the best of him in the end.

RIP. Did he ever get an ECW figure? Yep. The Champion Clashers line. www.highspots.com/mm5/graphics/00000001/axl_L.jpgAnd sadly, reports have said they found him in his car. Some are saying he had a heart attack, but his mother thinks he overdosed.
