I'd say he's just a damn good player who wound up in football hell till football hell became football...respectable. Ish. But no analysis ever talk about him or give him credit. That's why I think he's underrated in the "sports talk world". Belive me I'm no fan of the Raiders, but I respect and like other players on other teams, like most football fans. Like Roethlisberger, he's the toughest QB in the league. Roethlisberger is the toughest QB that I've seen play in my lifetime. |

Well its the west for me because I'm a Browns fan, and I hate the Ravens and Steelers and I hope that they both fall off the face of the Earth and get sucked into a black hole and die because  ROONEY AND MODELL BOTH ARE/WERE PEICES OF CRAP!... uh oh sorry still bitter still harbor the hate. so yeah it's the west. But that's just me. I can understand Cleveland fans hating Modell. Good reason. The did Dan Rooney ever do? Because he's the son of the Steelers founder, Art Sr., one of the most respected names in the history of football? That's entirely your bias talking there. Dislike the Steelers all you want because you're a Cleveland fan, but try to use some logic. Suppose you also hate Jesse James too with serious venom. Even though he's just a rookie who played a whole 20 snaps last season. He should probably be taken to the axe man. Or Greg Warren, the Long Snapper who not even Steelers fans know the name of. Probably wish his kids would fall into that black hole of death. Take off your homer goggles for one moment and realize not every player from every team that's your rival is the scum of the earth. You don't see our Ravens, Bengals or other Steelers fans attacking everything about Cleveland. Maybe they didn't like Johnny Football, but have a pretty good reason. Or they don't like Thomas because he's pretty good. Hell, I've complimented the Browns a few times. Only negative comment I made recently was that RGIII is gonna get killed because Cleveland has no offensive line. And every NFL fan on the planet will tell you "yep, he's right." Have SOME reason, don't just shoot out blind hatred. It's ridiculous. I mean hell, snatch is probably the biggest homer on here nowadays. The Pats are gods gift to man the way he talks. But he still uses logic and reason if there's some issue with the Pats, or if he hates another team for some reason...most of the time.  The Rooneys did nothing, it's the way I was raised, my Mom (yes my Mom is the one who taught me sports) taught me when I was a wee lad that you hate Pittsburgh and Baltimore if you're a Browns fan, you hate the Marlins and the Braves if you're and Indians fan and you hate  ichagin if you're a Buckeyes fan. So the Rooneys did nothing but when you're raised in a sports scorned city of Cleveland you hate your rivals, you hate everything they do, If they're down you kick them. It is truly Cleveland against the world, because in Cleveland you hold onto the anger that you feel every time your team, the team that you live and die for is beaten when it counts. I wasn't alive for "The Drive" but I was taught to hate John Elway because of it and I hate John Elway to this day because I was taught to. So I hate Rooney and the Steelers because in the city of Cleveland your taught to do 3 things on Sundays, Pray to God, Cheer for the Browns, and Piss on the Steelers. Because you can and if that makes me illogical because I use my heart when it comes to Cleveland sports rather than my mind then I'll be illogical. I do know that you're a Steelers fan, and I accept that people make mistakes but you just gotta understand that I hate the entire Rooney family because I hate the Steelers and when in Cleveland you hate Pittsburgh with your whole heart which means you hate everyone involved with the organization from Dan Rooney to the water boys. Also about the whole "long snapper thing" I do only hate players because of where they play and once they leave the organazation I have no malice towards them, but there are only 2 Pittsburgh players that I hate not because they play for Pittsburgh I would hate them anywhere, Ben Roethlisberger because I believe he's a rapist bunghole and Mike Vick because anyone who would kill a innocent creature with his bare hands. |

It's also nice that the Cubs have actually been putting together some decent years lately. Most Cards fans despise them for no other reason than we're supposed to. I'm a little off topic, so here's something about football: I can definitely say, with very good reason, that I ing hate the New England Patriots. |

Reality is that Seattle has been irrelevant for the majority of their existence. For 3 decades if you wanted to win a Super Bowl your path either went through SF or Dallas...many times the one spoiling the others chance. |
