Roddy White has been released by the Falcons to the surprise of nobody. I was a little bit surprised they went through with it because the owner and GM LOVE him, and he is one of the greatest Falcons players ever. However it was a very necessary move as he wouldn't renegotiate his contract, and clearly is pretty much done. I'm sure someone will sign him, but I don't think he has anything left as a #1 or #2 receiver. Considering the amount that they gave to Bowe last year, he might as well just move to Cleveland now and save himself a hassle later on.

Call me crazy, but Brady won't finish his career in New England. I predict that the 2017 season will be his last in New England, and he goes somewhere like the Jets for a year or two, to try and stick it to Belichik who will have been the one that decided to move on from him.

Nope. With that contract extension, he will retire a Patriot.

Well take him, since overpaying for old players is kind of our gimmick.

And hidden just beneath the big Manning news is the fact that Joseph Randle was arrested AGAIN for like the 6th time in a year's span. Good god man, pull yourself together.

With him gone, it will only be a matter of time before Brady retires and then we will finally see the end of an era. I stand by my post above. I give Brady 3 more seasons. 2 more in New England, and 1 elsewhere after Belichik decides to move on from him. As great as Brady may be, Father Time is undefeated and he'll be 38 or 39(can't remember) coming into this season. His deep ball accuracy isn't all that, and he relies heavily on YAC from his receivers, as well as a good run game. They also tend to have a shake O-line year in and year out. You can't expect a guy of that age to keep taking a pounding like that, although I have to admit that as much I don't like him, he's one tough son of a bitch!

Brady right now is still better than Peyton was last season. Sure Brady became more of a game manager this season than he had ever been since his first full season, but even as a game manager he's still a better option than 1/3 of the starters right now.
In other news, the Steelers appear to be heavily interested in drafting a QB this season. It's the perfect time. The Landry Jones experiment failed. So if you can bring in someone with decent size and mobility, he can learn a lot under Ben and Vick before they both go down the dusty trail.
So we lost Peyton, and in the next couple of seasons we'll be losing Brady, Rivers, Brees, Palmer, Romo, Ben and Eli.
Jesus. That's gonna be weird to think that in just a few years the old vets will be Smith, Ryan and Flacco.
Now I know how you somewhat older guys felt when you lost your first generation as a fan big players. Such is sports but still.

This was Peyton when we was his healthiest in the 2015 season. Its a shame that we didn't get this level of play from him all year, because his arm was certainly not done in this game:

"So now that Peyton is gone, the West is ours, right?"
"Um...I don't remember Peyton playing defense last year..."

So I believe with Peyton's retirement the league no longer features a player drafted in the 90's.

"So now that Peyton is gone, the West is ours, right?" "Um...I don't remember Peyton playing defense last year..." Cheifs fans have been saying the West was theirs since Andy Reed came to town. I expect the West to be pretty tight again this year, and possibly putting 3 teams into the Playoffs again.

Erin Andrews was awarded 55 freakin million dollars cause someone took a nude video of her. Those numbers just don't add up.
