A multi-day Favre HOF celebratory drunken stupor. I don't know if it's sad that I can believe that or what. It's only sad if you do it all the time. I did it for a while, but then I quit. But then I changed my mind. And then I quit again. But then I changed my mind again. And then I quit again, but for real this time because I got hurt.

Well, apparently the Browns may be being investigated for lying to the media about Johnny Manziel's concussion. According to some sources Manziel was drunk at practice the last week of the season and didn't actually receive a concussion in week 16 against the Chiefs. A penalty would probably be in the form of a loss of a draft pick, which round would most likely be decided by how true and how serious the violations were. in' ing, mother ing idiots stupid mother...ARGGGGGGGGGGGG! But it all may not be true so take it with a grain of salt. Mark Shlereth (I probably spelt that wrong) said on his podcast 3 weeks ago that this happened. He kind of said it in passing, but said "and Johnny Asshat shows up to practice last week drunk wreaking of alcohol. His teammates told the staff and they took him off the field." Wow, then I'm surprised that this didn't catch on sooner I just saw this report from Adam Schefter (or at least that's who I thought is was) a day or 2 ago.

Not to bring up old wounds, but it's not like podcasters and DJs and the like get as much journalistic credibility as they sometimes should. Mark Madden reported on the Penn State scandal months before the hammer came down. He had the names of those involved and everything, wrote up an article and it was published in one of our town papers but was disregarded because Madden's a shock jockey in Pittsburgh known to hate all forms of football. The guy was right but it took forever for anything official to happen. So it doesn't surprise me.

Aqib Talib is possibly looking at a suspension for the face mask incident with Corey Brown on Sunday.

Matt Forte and the Bears have parted ways. doesn't surprise me but it's truly an end of an era in Chicago.

So who's worse: Peyton Manning, Archie Manning or the University of Tennessee?

So who's worse: Peyton Manning, Archie Manning or the University of Tennessee? Univ of Tenn does what pretty much every University would have done, but UT isnt as notorious about things like that as some colleges are...So Ill give them a pass. Peyton was young & stupid but I dont think your legacy is based on what you are but who you become. I dont like Famous Jameis but if in 15-20 years he shows he's a "good guy" then Ill let his mistakes from his youth be forgotten. For this Ill give Peyton a slap on the wrist but also a pass. That pretty much leaves Archie and I dont like Archie so, we'll go with him. Or Phillip Fulmer...who's a knob slobber too! What I do find ironic about all this is how this story is just not making national news after he wins a Super Bowl when it was broken like 6 months ago.

If you read the story and transcripts, the part that really stuck out to me, is how the Mannings and UT went out of their way to discredit this girl, trash her personally and professionally and in some cases try to get others to lie about what happened. "Blame a black athlete".
Sexual harassment is a serious offense, but yes he was a kid and made a mistake.
I think the cover up and the subsequent destruction of this lady was the worst part of this

I talked about the Peyton sexual assault in the 2015 season thread and pretty much everyone loled.
I'm gonna sit back and enjoy this story come to light. I really shouldn't be this excited about a sexual assault...

I remember the story being reported around the time it happened, but it wasn't reported as a serious thing. It was always reported that it was accidental (the mooning story) or that he just whipped his junk out. The thing is, had he at the time owned up to it and moved on, it would just been seen as a mistake of youth, which it probably was. But the coverups, and burying of the stories, and lies well after the fact are a lot more damaging than that would have been.
I have been a fan of Manning for a long time, but the newer details of what happened and the coverups are certainly challenging that. As well as the strong arm tactics they seem to have employed to bury this HGH story too.

In comparison, Favre was a gentleman in his wienergate.

Colts vs Packers will be the Hall of Fame game this year, which makes total sense given Favre, Dungy and Harrison are going in.

Colts vs Packers will be the Hall of Fame game this year, which makes total sense given Favre, Dungy and Harrison are going in. Due to NBC's coverage of the Olympics, the Hall of Fame Game will be aired on the NFL Network this year. I do agree, makes sense given who is going in the Hall of Fame this year. Should be a good game to watch. While it has more to do with the 2016 Regular Season but the Raiders will host the Texans at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on November 21st. Making the first Monday Night Football game to be played outside the United States. For those Vikings fans, US Bank Stadium is about 85% complete. A good chunk of the seats have been installed.
